Ok, so my post was before I read your rescue plan comment, I have held vod shares for about 20 years, buying at 1.20 to about 2.30. so I am a long term investor ( probably a tellytubby to you) I have tried cfds but I hold vod as a long term investment, some are in isa, so not good to trade in an out. I was a bookmaker, so I know that the bookmaker always wins. If you do c.f d, or spread bet, you are probably going to lose.80% (unless you feel lucky punk)!!?

On ex divi day at open the vod sp was 1.88, so you would be 8 to 10p better off buying today. If you bought the day before at close. approx 1.97 , the same, 1.97 minus 9p divi = 1.88. But either way to have bought today,( with hindsight), would be the better option, if that was you point?

High Gerry, sorry to drag you into the last call nonsense, but I would value your opinion on the latest fall of sp. You have given the impression in the past., that a fall in sp would be good, so I wondered what you think of the current sp? Is the fall good, & do you think its a good buy at current sp?
