Amazing the deluge of posts about costas1234, mostly of course from the village idiot, I think one thing that comes out here is that share holders that own very few shares should not re invest the divi, just spend it, or wait untill you have at least £1000 to £4000 to invest. If you re invest your divi at 2% commission, the vod sp has to go up by 2.5% , that's nearly 5p just to break even.The last time I bought vod shares, I bought £20,000 worth & put them into an I S A . The commission was £9, so, um ooh difficult one this(where is L C) vods answer to Carole Vorderman) when you need him? Ahh, 0.045%. Thanks for that telepathic answer gumbo.

You say 2% commission to buy shares is low, I think it's very high. If you hold the shares for 1 year, then sell, the sp has to go up by 4.5% + the spread, for you to just get your money back. Divi excluded. I pay less than 1/4 of 1% to deal.

Thanks Tom, but I assumed he bought the shares at an sp of £1.90. Of course everybody pays stamp duty, & buying small amounts of shares is costly. I try not to deal for less than 4k at a time. Sounds like the calculation was not quite that simple, you should have asked Gumbo.( AKA. Last Call ), to use his loaf & work it out, (very stale loaf). Durr, his brain hurts.

After the infamous Last Call ridiculed vod share holders as being telly tubbies, the vod sp has gone up, prompted by the top Wall St' broker TellyTubby bank, giving a rating of buy buy.

What you don't get, is that I am invested in vodafone. Rightly or wrongly but I think my long term investment is good!!?? You though, are gambling with your peanuts (or more) on the sp with a bookmaker (spread bet, c.f.d ). I am a bookmaker, & make a lot of money out of suckers like you.
