Before I made my post trying to get a balanced point of view, I fear'd it would just encourage extreme points of view (possible racist/religionist), which I think it did. I hate political correctness, but unfortunately you have to be so careful what you say now days otherwise you just encourage the bigots. I am no lefty, & think the protests are very wrong, but to suggest that black people don't suffer a disadvantage (rightly or wrongly) is living in a fantasy world. " I have a dream" That we respect our police, & government (black or white) oh & of course the vod sp will hit at least £2.50 by the year end.

What about the massive prejudice some have shown towards the police. I am not in the police, but if I was, I think I would jack it in, because of the abuse suffered. Instead of banging on about racism, lets just all try & see it from someone else's point of view, whether it be black people , or the police. Of course black people matter, but so do the police black or white. Perhaps on Thursdays in future, we should clap for the police?

thomas. mikey doesn't post anymore since a good friend of his apparently died from covid19 & although sometimes I take the mikey, I of coarse have great sympathy, & wish him all the best.

Nice to see a late rise in the vod sp is quite common lately. I call it, the reverse moaning Mikey affect. Perhaps the yanks are on our side?

Hi Pete, I'm fine, hope you are too. I had a small top up a while ago at about £1.16, so got my average down a fraction. The google stake in Idea sounds good, & I think Read is doing a good job lately ( sp up 35% from its recent low) but still a long way to go for me to break even. I'm not a customer of vodafone though, so my opinions are from a shareholder point of view. Customer services is a better place for roaming problems. I'm not sure what caused the sudden jump a while ago in the sp, but hope it continues. It's always good if we can beat the flse. £1.40 by Friday will do me, but I need £2 in the long term, not that I am moaning, because if you are not prepared to loose money, don't invest.

You are all just coming up with meaningless figures(It would help if you stop confusing £ & euro & % divi, or actual divi) The divi is approx 8p. The yield approx 6.4%. But what is important is, can vod's profits exceed the % they pay on debt & can they keep a good credit rating so as to continue to have a low% rate on debts, & Vod needs to make enough profit to pay interest on debt + gradually pay off debt (in case % rates rise) + pay a dividend,& have some left to increase the value of the company. Some of you may think you are experts at the stock market, but haven't got a clue about common sense maths, or economics.

Mole man, If vod ,or any company had lost 120 billion euro net overall, it would have gone bust. What are you talking about? Net loss, (loss minus profit) or just losses. Your figures are meaningless, unless you explain them. What are vod's historical profits?? That might help.

chris, gets 1st prize for stating the bleeding obvious! Of course Market manipulation is bad, so what should be done about it, I would ban all short selling, but that is not possible. Ranting on about it does not help.

What is this 120bn euro in accumulated losses? come on educate us all ,instead of just trying to clever. Why cant it function, & gradually pay off debt, if % rates are low enough? You may be very clever, but unless you explain, you just come across as the opposite.

Cheapsharesboy. Do you know what % interest vod pays on it's debt's? To me, this a very important point, that many ignore.

rylidan. I think you have your £ & euro mixed up. The yield is about 6.4 %. Still very good though.
