Hi Newbie hope you are well. I don't get your day traders dream comment though. Day trader with a crystal ball perhaps, but otherwise it could be a nightmare. If you can predict the daily movement of vod shares enough to beat 1/2 per stamp duty + fess, or cover spread bet costs then please let me know your secret, because that would make me very rich. No such thing as money for nothing. Cheers Pete, be lucky.

NewSid, Thanks for your reply, If you are right, then it sounds very good, & justifies my strong buy rating?! At the end of the day, vod is very highly geared, possible high profits, against massive debt. I am a long time holder of vod, with a medium size holding of shares & looking at the medium to long term. My average buy price is £2 plus, so I am looking at getting that back, plus divi's before selling. Of course I may be just chasing my losses, but that's the the gamble I am prepared to take without moaning about what has gone before. It happens.

NewSid, I would love to agree with you, But the divi is not healthy, It comes out of the the share price,(FACT) The d/bank case look's good, but is very bias. I am very bullish about vod, but stop going about the high divi, which we all know by now is very dodgy. I think vod will do well, but only if it can cover the divi with profits, A high divi alone is no good. Obvious of course, so please stop banging on about the high divi?!

£113 on the nasdaq. Vod doing well on the U.S. market, but was dragged down today by the U.K. market.

Djones, I think most on here would agree not to take broker upgrades too seriously, especially d/bank who are the house broker (in cahoots) for vodafone & would probably upgrade vod, even if they where going bust. Vod is about 7p up in the last few days, so lets hope for more rises. Many thought vod would go sub £1, so it could be a lot worse.

Ahh, Poor little Mikey, spitting his dummy again. If that's the best you vodafone staff can do when the sp falls, no wonder we have a problem.

adbon, of course this forum has no impact on the sp, I just can't stand those who can't stop moaning. As for a balanced view, I welcome it, & always have. One thing being a bear, another thing being an expletive moaner!
