Why would bank shares be any more likely to recover than vodafone? They look cheap perhaps, but so does vodafone.

Vod sp looks ok on the U.S.nasdaq, so looks like a crazy blip. If not, I will be looking for a very high building to jump out of . I think covid 19 is to blame, or perhaps the fact that the whole world has gone totally mad lately, (black or white)!!!???

Vod sp only down 10.3p or over 6.3p after taking acc of the divi. Lets all crack open the champagne then shall we? I can't stand moaners, but get real, it has been a very bad for vodafone today, & for the last 3 days. I know the ftse fell as well, but by less & partly driven down by the big fall of vod . The ftse fall doesn't adjust to vod going ex divi, so the full 10.3p vod fall is taken into consideration.

Cheapsharesboy. After taking out the divi, vod down about 4.5p That's pretty bad I would say. Still, let's hope for a big rise soon.

Well I think Boris should consult oogleflugal in future instead of anybody else. I suggest the issue is complex, but as a vod shareholder, I think I would favour giving the Chinese the benefit of the doubt, but I could be wrong. Sorry, back to politics, but how about a more balanced point of view please. By the way oogle. love your username, reminds me of the ski hol that I had to cancel because of cov19.

If vod falls a lot (more than 4p) tomorrow, I suspect some of it may be down divi hunters who falsely think they make money buying for the divi, then selling after ex divi. Total folly of course. But I hope I am wrong & the sp recovers the 4p drop. If the divi were to affect the sp in a positive way, you would think it would happen after the payment date in august, as many re invest the divi. However, that often isn't the case. Again, hope I am wrong.

Cheapsharesboy What newspaper are you reading then? I read the mail, quite right wing I think. I agree the bbc is left wing, so I only listen/ or watch to get a conflicting point view. By the way, are all vod shareholders so anti the left? I vote conservative, & very much lean to the right, but based on some of the comments on here, anybody would think I am a communist. I think you will find most newspapers tend to lean to the right(quite rightly in my opinion) Unless you mean left of Adolf Hitler? Sorry buzzby if that sounds child like, but we can't all reach your amazing , mature wisdom!

buzzby, What are you talking about, I read the press & would describe myself as right wing. I just try to see other points of view, You should try it sometimes!
