csdi & robleo, Hope you are having a happy new year. You both seem to have a good attitude to investing in that you have to be prepared to loose money, then get on with it, trying to make money in the long run. We have 2 things in common I think, that we are loosing money, but except it , & move on. One difference though with me, I do what most say you shouldn't do, all my eggs are in 1 basket, vodafone. But that's my choice, high risk, but more chance of gain.. If it all goes wrong, then I blame nobody else, just myself.

Moaning Mikey. You lot just don't get it. Mikey has share options, which means if the sp falls he gets his money back & loses nothing. If the sp rises above his option price, he makes a profit. Heads he wins, tails he gets his money back. Stop feeling sorry for him, he is just a moaning idiot.

Thank you very much, moleman & csdi. I think the answer to bonds V/s is very complex, but is mainly about risk??!! Is it true to say that vod bondholders have faired better than share holders over the last several years. Can I buy vod bonds? Sorry if I am asking basis questions, but I don't know???

Thank's for that Patient, Sounds a bit less optomistic than your previous post. I have many times tried to find out about the % vod pays on it's debt,but so many in the past on here, have said it doesn't matter. Your worst case scenario sounds very worrying, I wonder what others on here think. (Apart from the knee jerk moaning doomsters of course) Do bond holders always have priority over shareholders?
