Somebody tell Mikey from me, Nice post, I even did a Recommend for the 1st time ever for Mikey.

I predicted 1.30 by weekend, so bully for me. My post however went missing! I wonder why? Nothing to do with Free speech moaning Mikey I suppose?? Isn't it great not to have his idiotic moaning posts? Great day today. Long way to go still for me, and there will of course be set backs on the way. Patient. Ex divi fall. I hope it is different this time as well. I don't get why so many seem to buy up to ex divi & sell afterwards... You gain nothing by selling on ex divi day when the sp falls by the divi. Plus you have to wait 2months to get back the money you have just lost on ex divi day. You may even be liable for tax on the divi as well. The whole point surely of a high divi yield, is for medium to long term holders to get an income, without the expense of selling some of there holding. Unfortunately there are still some who don't realise that the divi comes straight out of the sp on ex divi day... So called dividend hunters. Just folly.

I have just looked up the amount of institutional investors of vodafone shares & according to simply wall st. on yahoo. it is 80.9% with 18% owned by the public.

No thank you. Do we really want vod shares to be be like bitcoin, totally worthless, but changing hands at 19000 dollars.

H-hi. I wish I could get out at break even! Next year perhaps. As for digital shares like bitcoin to attract younger investors, we will all have to start talking in crypto speak. I think vod are a hodle!! & I will wait for vod to rocket, so I can buy my Lambo. Buy, Buy. F.O.M.O. Digital shares (Like Bitcoin) Are attractive to younger investors because they are totally unregulated, & seen as anti government ,anti banks, so they would also attract more vampires (known as whales) in crypto speak, manipulating the markets. Of course eventually shares may be more digital, but it has to be properly regulated which is what a lot of young people don't want.

Hello H-hi, Could you please explain your post as I don't understand why too many retail investors makes vod undervalued? If a lot of the retail investors sell, would that make the sp rise? Who are the vampires? Shorter's ? Of course high deb't is a big reason though. Cheers & good luck.

Cheapsharesboy, Of course most big investors don't buy bonds that will give a negative yield (common sense). Some may do for complex reasons, I.E. hedging, Regulation reasons, or because they think the yield will go positive. Still vods 6.5% does look very good.

mole_man99 I would prefer it was London. Do you think tower shares will be easy to buy, & will vod shareholders get a preference. As for what was wrong with London, I think you answered that by saying Germany is vod's biggest market. I know it shouldn't happen, but don't all mod phone company's have outages sometimes. Does'n't seem to have done the sp any harm so far though. I think PFen should have held for a while. Me I had a forced sale today only 4% of my holding, but deb't has to be repaid. Quite pleased with the 124.6 I got though.

PFen If the vod staff in Germany are anything like our Mikeyh68 (thicko Mikey) who works for vodafone, Then no wonder they are having problems.
