CSDI. Have you ever played, or seen En Passant played? I used to play quite a lot of chess, but have never played it,or seen it played, as I think most chees players ignore it, or don't know what it is.

Hi robleo, Of course we all get a bit cheesed of at times, but do you all really want to know every time I get cheesed off? Probably not. Besides as the 100% man, you probably would say, serves you right? If I were to sell some vod & diversify now, apart from the big costs involved, I would have less chance of getting my losses back. But also of course less chance of losing more. 100% in 1 share does give a bigger buzz though. Now, where did I put my punch bag??

Imagine Mikey on a ski slope, every time he tried to turn, he would predict a fall, would he ever reach the bottom???

Gary, good so far today, no not the vod sp, that's rubbish, Mikey's not been let out yet? Unplugging him though, that's a bit harsh, & anyway he has been unplugged ( from the real world at least) for a log time now. But a day of the vod sp is a game of 2 halves, so I am hoping for a good 2nd half.

I have just read your post after posting to mole man, Whoever Ackman is I hope he is right, although I think 100% in 1 share is very risky, but I always have been a gambler.

mole man. Although I wish I only 1% of my portfolio was in vod, surely it's not worth bothering putting 1% in anything. It would cost you more in fees that you are likely to make. Not that anybody should take my advice, as I have 100% in vod. I do have other income though from a good pension. I agree 100% that a divi is no good if lost in sp decline, but since the last ex divi day the sp has risen I think, so lets hope that continues.

Patient. So you were just talking about a 7 year period in the last 47 years. O.K. Not a representative example in my opinion. As for Bulgaria, my only knowledge is the disaster for those who bought property in the boom years, in the ski resort of Bansko. & there are many Bulgarians with jobs, waiters etc who are very poor. & live in ram shackled housing. But that's another matter. Anyway good luck with your investments whatever they are. Living by the Danube sounds good to me though.

Mikey. I thought i would suggest a good exercise for you to try, Sit down, look at the ceiling , that's up, then look at the floor, that's down, practise this many times until you get the hang of it. It will help you with your vod sp analysis.

Hi Patient. Thank you for you patience, & we shall agree to disagree. However, I don't know ,when you say back in the day your wages also went up by the same amount ,what day do you refer to? but I have picked 1980 to t 2020 when ave UK house prices rose from £21,000 to £256,000. 12.2times, but average UK wages have grown from £6000 to £32,000. 5.2 times. I think you will find this a typical average. It might have been good for you, but I am talking about the average person which seems the fair way to make a comparison. My info is taken from google.
