Fleccy. I understand your point, but anybody who has paid £1.50 per share for vod, but prefers the sp to stay at the current level is living in a fantasy world. That is economic madness. Still I hope your undoubting faith in vod is justified, because I paid at least 1.50 for mine. Vod has been buying back shares, so if the share price goes up from the price they paid, then that is good surely. Of course if the sp stayed at todays price, but I knew for a fact that the sp would rise after the buy back ends so I could buy loads just before the buy back end, then that would be good, assuming I had enough money to do so. But neither I, nor you know that. Thinking you are always right, but the market is wrong is very dangerous.

traderUK. Nothing greedy about that? Unlikely perhaps, but who knows. What I don't like about comparing to B.T.,is they axed the divi. I don't want vod to axe the divi. even for a short term as with B.T. I don't think we should compare the two, as they are very different, surely? What do others think? 20% rise in3 weeks will do me though.

compound. Sorry, but you seem to think that share price graphs are always correct, but they are not, so I don't think your comments are above Gary's head at all, just above your head perhaps? As for your prediction that the sp will either go up. down, or stay still? well done with that amazing fact! I think ex divi day will be 25nov, & pay day 28jan, as divi max states, but they may be wrong of course? The sp will of course, initially fall, on ex divi day, by the divi amount. The biggest driver here, is of course the results!

fleccy, Do you know when the buy back ends, & when it does, won't vod start buying back shares again? Personally I would rather the price goes up, as I think most share holders do. If I was buying vod shares on a regular basis, I would want the share price to rise, not stay still or fall, that would be crazy, surely?

What I don't get is, when it goes up at the end of the day, then nothing, but if it falls then its, bloody yanks, pick pockets, crooked m&m's, sack Nick Read, etc. Sad or what? O.K. robleo. In the short term I will be happy if the vod sp is the same as today 1.12 ish after going ex divi. Of course I hope for much more, I think 1.20 in the medium term is quite likely if we get good results. But I need £2 in the long term, so I live in hope. I'm not selling though. StrictlyZinc. If you haven't learnt by now, share prices can rise or fall after 4.30, then you clearly should not be investing on the stock market. Nothing to do with Pick Pockets. There is a delay after 4.30, before final prices can be calculated. Annoying of course if it goes the wrong way? Sounds like you had a spit the dummy day today? Get over it?

s.i.d.i. I think you are getting paranoid mate? Both spelt & spelled are correct. As for the correct spelling of vodafone, I assume Time2Retire was joking by suggesting it should be spelt vodaphone? But of course vod is correct as well as an abbreviation.
