At 114.10 the sp is up slightly more than the divi, at current F.X. rate. Lets hope we don't get a black Friday?!

Hello compound. You said so far vod only down 40, compared to a divi of 51.4? But you have to know the exact time vod went ex divi on the nas to make that comparison. But vod rallying on the nas as I speak, so lets hope for a good day tomorrow?

compound. The nasdaq price is currently 15.28, which equates to 114.7. However I find the nas price is usually about 2p higher? I don't know why, but I think it is to do with the fact they don't pay stamp duty? However at 114.7 minus 2p, = 112.7 + the divi of about 3.8p = 116.5, so not great, but the night is young? Perhaps the difference is less than 2p? I am probably about 15mins out of date as well? A 1.14 close tomorrow would be good?

Are some really that daft, that they don't realise the sp will fall by the divi amount on opening tomorrow? Good luck.

Hello compound, Why do you say the ex divi will almost certainly be more than the divi? What I don't understand (if that is the case) is why anyone would buy vod shares today, instead of waiting until tomorrow & get them cheaper, even taking into account the divi. As the share price is rising today,I am assuming there are a lot of buyers? Have they all got it wrong? Let's hope not?

There you have it then? The expert on this forum tells us the sp will definitely fall by more than the divi, after going ex divi ? So no hope there then?. I presume he is going to short vod then? If not why? . Perhaps he is too poor to do so?. He can always hope ? Of course the sp may fall by more than the divi, but it is obviously not certain.
