suppose i got lucky in my first couple of shares.
My first was AMUR when it got its licence, i was in at 11p, it went to 7p and then to 40p+
i was really a novice back then and that was only a few years ago, im 35with a mortgage to pay and never even looked at shares before, it was only a few grand but it was a lot of money back then, the tip came from a friends dad at the time, i seen it rise to massive heights on the promise of imminent production of the 9nth biggest nickel mine in the world (still not producing) and going to be worth billions, after making some money i had some in Sirius Minerals and AFPO and 88E, AFPO did really well and sold too early but in the ned been safe was by far the best option, the sales via the MOU's never happened and now that has delisted, lots of promises on nothing, 88e flew when i bought, got in after the first RNS, sat on weekend on a £2k profit thinking i have to sell on the monday for the big RNS to be released and made £6k profit in the end, took my capital out and now all i play with is profit, best share i made money on was Asian Growth Properties, got spiked initially, but held for the special dividend and loaded up just before it was release, SP spiked and fell when it was given but made a decent amount, thats now delisted after the chinese owners bought the rest of the company out at 3x what it was trading at
lost money on FRR / MATD and HNR but for the most part im doing fine
sure we have all been excited by our investments, but i have now mellowed and become more realistic,
also, if it looks too good to be true it probably is
