Over recent weeks, we have seen a lovely smooth share price progression, which for most of us, has been exactly what we are looking for.
We have suffered a slight retrace for a few days, which I understand was actually necessary, from a technical/chartists point of view, and that this slight retrace actually helps us to make the next leg up.
I too was rather disappointed that we failed to get the RNS that we had been hoping for, and whilst I have suffered what I suspect will be a short-term paper loss, the unexpected (by me, not everyone) drop cost me an additional fat spreadbet stop-out that I really didn't expect. In the scheme of things it was insignificant, but I hate giving money to the spreadbet company, as it was the first time that I have suffered a loss of £500 on one.
Anyway, I think that nothing causes friction like uncertainty, and that is the root cause of fractious discussion.
I have reached the point of no longer expecting an RNS, and will just sit on my hands until one arrives.
When it does, I am sure that the usual harmony on this board will be restored.
Until then, let us please be objective, and not wind each other up, it serves no purpose other than to cause hypertension and acrimony.
If you want to direct your annoyance, may I suggest that you make representations to our Nomad, broker or PR outfit, they will welcome your constructive observations, I am sure!

Of course he could neither confirm nor deny.
When it's not true, he simply denies it.
He also mentioned that he can't confirm or deny whether he is doing anything concerning Shell at the moment.
That doesn't narrow it down much then?

As you say JTD it is the first time that Paul has let us down.
I can only infer that he is so busy with something that the RNS is relatively insignificant.
I am sure that all will become clear.
I hope so, my spreadbet stopped out at 8.01 am which was annoying, as it should have limited out instead!

We needed to have a retrace in order for us to get ready for the next leg up.
Apparently we needed to fill the gap down to 45 pence.
the RSI was way overbought and we are now looking much better.

Cascadura-1ST1 achieved a peak production rate in excess of 5,736 boe/d during the extended flow test period. This production rate included 30.2 MMcf/d of natural gas and 710 bbls/d of natural gas liquids. The flowing pressure of the well during this stage of testing was 3,305 psi through a 40/64" choke. During the final 14-hour extended flow test period, the well averaged a production rate in excess of 5,180 boe/d including 26.9 MMcf/d of natural gas and 694 bbls/d of natural gas liquids. The flowing pressure of the well during this test period was 3,319 psi through a 40/64" choke, resulting in an estimated 20% draw down. A total of 28.6 million cubic feet of natural gas (4,770 barrels of oil equivalent) was produced during testing, with 680 barrels of natural gas liquids and 38 barrels of water.
The test from the second zone was very similar.

Hard to know until we have the numbers.
The comparator is Carapal Ridge that had a flow rate of 20,000 mmcfd and 500billion cu ft reserves.

This RNS is so HUGE that it has got stuck in the RNS pipe.
The London Stock Exchange has a useful link to email them when you cannot find the information that you are looking for.
I have asked them to call a plumber to unblock the RNS system, which has clearly got a blockage.

SimonT, I seem to recall that Paul said that the internal results would be announced by the middle of this week, followed by a third party opinion in July?
All will become clear.

I know that patience is a virtue, but I think that virtue has its limits.

There is no doubt in my mind as to whether there will be a takeover offer from Shell, there will be, it is only a matter of when.
It is not only a question of the assets that have already been discovered, but also the massive potential that the TXP has.
If you think about it, Shell has owned this block in the past, but was unable to do anything with it.
The Touchstone team has had it for 5 minutes and has produced spectacular results, with the prospect of far more yet to come.
Each discovery increases the price, and whilst Shell has very deep pockets, they are also pragmatists.
It will be a fine balance between appeasing the shareholders at the least price, and retaining the excellent team in place.
Let's not forget that the Board of TXP has a very small percentage of the shares, although we don't know about other employees. It is hard to know at what point loyalty to shareholders is eclipsed by self-interest in a potential glistening career with Shell.
Everybody has a price, we all do, if Shell offered £3 per share now, I think that many investors would be tempted, even though the potential is a multiple of that.
We have all seen it before.
Let's see what the RNS does to the share price, to get an idea of where we are going.......
