RE: Near term share price drivers27 Jun 2020 13:09
Yes. Unless they take any notice of my email to them.
Dear Andrew,
I am a shareholder and have enjoyed and suffered the ups and downs of RockRose, to a much lesser extent than you have!
I was very pleased with the introduction of the dividend, which has generally been very well received by the market.
I believe however, that the current policy is holding the share price back.
I know that quarterly reporting would be a pain in the a*se, but I think that doing this, together with a quarterly dividend would enhance the value of company.
We are now being unfairly compared with the big boys, and our price/earnings and also dividend yield is nonsensical compared with our peers.
In view of the cash pile, and the fact that we are still profitable (hopefully) I believe that if you were to increase the dividend to say 40 or 50 pence per quarter, we would see a substantial rise in the share price nearer to realistic values, without adversely affecting its affordability to the company.
I realise that you have a plethora of respected advisors and financial gurus considering this, but from the Private Investor's perspective, and possibly from an Institutional one, a less cautious dividend policy would be very attractive.
Unless of course you would rather pull a large Mountain Hare out of the hat, which would be equally effective.
I don't expect a response, as I hope that you are far too busy stealing some assets on the cheap from Exxon, but would ask you to give this idea three minutes' worth of consideration at your next Board/Executive meeting.
With thanks and regards,
