RE: Broker update on TXP22 Jun 2020 20:54
I think that the psychology of very cautious Broker price targets is better than pie in the sky ones.
From a Broker's it is good for their targets to be hit in the short term, rather than ones that look unattainable.
As they state their assumptions quite clearly, it gives them to revise their target more frequently each time an assumption changes.
In that way, they get another bite at the cherry, and it brings the share to the attention of another audience.
Incremental upgrades are far more attractive than say putting a current target of £2 on it now, and having to revise downwards in the event of an over- optimistic event not being met.
Most of us on these boards are avid share dealers and think nothing of trading in and out of a share in a week, a day or even an hour.
The vast majority of investors look at their shares on a weekly or less frequent basis, and get their tips from the Daily Mail or the Investors Chronicle.
Share targets have to be realistic and attainable, like every other target.
I have every confidence that it will be hit within the next three months.
People like that sort of thing.
imho.
