There is huge potential for increasing production across all of BMN's deposits. Their size would suggest much higher tonnages are feasible. Historically the reason for not considering a much larger operation is that the market size was not sufficient to absorb it without collapsing the price. With VRFB adoption the market size would increase significantly, allowing a higher production rate. It is a delicate balance currently. The production is required to ensure that product is available for VRFBs at the right price but in these early stages too much would cause price weakness. However, the likely scenario is that price pressures will be on the upside as VRFB demand on top of demand from the steel industry increases usage before significant supply increases can be implemented.

In fact, you have been moaning about it for months and accusing the management of conspiracies with large shareholders, etc. This price action is pretty normal after a large rise and the correction took place before the wobbles on the FTSE.

Well, those are A$ rather than US$. Also look at the V2O5 price used - $13/lb compared with the $7.50 used for Mokopane. The ongoing costs are also much higher than Mokopane.

I suspect that this is still the Tanzanian effect combined with the fact that the company is still transitioning to underground. Both of these factors are risks and will probably make people consider carefully whether to invest. As the quarterly reports confirm production is robust and debt being paid down and/or the geopolitical risk recedes (e.g. they start repaying the VAT), this is likely to move ahead, with the gold price always being a caveat.

Yes, the current selling looks like PI sells rather than the large scale sells we saw previously. I suspect that it is just the usual AIM boredom when there is a news weak period. If Q1 is anything to go by, we should see standard quarterly updates spread over the first 3 weeks of July (in 2 and a half weeks time!). If we get no news until then, I have to confess that I am surprised that we have had no significant news bar the Lemur concession since the previous quarterly updates.

If Beutong east and west are connected and mineralisation extends to 1000m depth then this will be a lot more than 1bn tonnes. Double that at least I would have thought. I confess I like the 'new', high grade intercepts so I find the exploration results the most interesting (which is why I am itching for them to get at Baroi). However, in terms of importance, getting BKM into production is clearly highest priority. Establishing Beutong as a world class deposit next. Then I would say deep drilling at BKM (and other KSK targets) to establish whether there really is a porphyry sitting under there. If this really is an area for elephant deposits then this could be truly spectacular. If not, it is just excellent.

mikebassetts, Well, they do also produce 30k tonnes of lead and 21k tonnes of zinc a year, so more than the baseline 14k tonnes of copper. I am also not convinced that we will meet their cash costs for copper production which will obviously influence the valuation. We will also have some further dilution and debt between now and production to build the project. However, it is a not unreasonable comparison.

I tend to view this the same way. I think that the study will quickly be followed by some form of financing package. Tony is well connected and I suspect that he is spending a great deal of his time pulling this together. Silver Mountain is interesting. I wouldn't be concerned about the results of the drilling there - whether it has a deposit or not is unlikely to affect the share price that much. However, I suspect the reason that we haven't heard the results is that the reason for the couple of drill holes there was for condemnation drilling as confirmed from 7:55 here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBOfiLKYcA8 This was just over a month ago. The problem they may well have is that this is very close to the envisaged pit. Now, if this had nothing there then there would be no reason to withhold the results (although some might argue they might not bother). However, if there was something there then they have a bit of a quandary. Where do you put infrastructure required for production if everywhere you drill has mineralisation?

carpfisher, How about to open up a discussion around potential risks so that we can all understand the investment proposition effectively? I have been in many shares and on many boards where the atmosphere is 'RA RA RA' and the share price is exploding 'to the moon!'. However, such action rarely lasts if there are underlying risks to the investment and there are many more losers than winners in such a situation. Personally I would rather have an open and honest discussion. I think that the value proposition is strong enough and the contributors knowledgeable enough here to tolerate the debate.
