Decidedleaverage, I shouldn’t engage with you or your alter ego as you clearly have an agenda here. But because I’m bored I will anyway. No one here is happy with the shareprice. The market is always right as the saying goes. But the market is sometimes early, sometimes late to discover when the value of a company is too high or low. A lot of us have been badly burned by this share and the broader market have completely lost interest or written off the Falkland oil story. Most of us who follow this board have not. And ever so gradually over the recent years good news have piled up without the market taking notice. This is the market being late to discover that the risk have lowered significantly while the reward have increased, making it a very favourable risk/reward play. Hence a buying opportunity. This is the game called investing, spotting the opportunities. You clearly disagree and that is your choice. This is the boiled frog syndrome in reverse, where the slow gradual changes of circumstances go unnoticed, until it becomes impossible to ignore.

May I suggest you stick with safe 30 year government bonds- they currently give an annual 5% coupon with no risk?

As far a I can see, the accrued interest in the award is not being mentioned. Does that mean that that (not insignificant) part of the award will benefit the Funder (being that the 3 tranches of payment to RKH is more or less capped). Can anyone share some light on this?

If I am right and the award has increased to say $250mio at this point, then the following 12 month will bring it to $270mio - or $1,6 mio per month with current interest. More income than rkh have ever generated I think. The year after will be 291,6 mio if interest stays the same. Compound interest is a biatch (if you are Italy)

Agreed Latics, higher oilprices currently have no affect on RKH shareprice. But for raising money for oil projects it does

It would take a special kind of hypocrite to first refuse discussions about Falkland’s future with the Argies based on the the Falklands right to self determination and self rule and then go on to deny them the right to exploit their natural resources just like any other nation including the UK. I’m certainly not suggesting you don’t have a politician who who would stoop to this level, but I would like to believe there would be others who can see the problem with that…

You are entitled to your opinion ofcourse, but I take issue with you calling those of us with a slightly more optimistic view than yourself for rampers… does that make you a “deramper”? I am optimistic - the most I have been about this share since 2010- if I wasn’t I would sell. Simple…

As for the low shareprice, my opinion is that given the history of this share, there is a strong- and justified scepticism which is holding this back. Once burned, twice shy... There will be an unknown threshold that when crossed the market can no longer ignore it. Mr Market is pricing this for failure - the OM award alone is multiple of the market cap with SL valued at 0. I maintain that 1£ will easily be crossed when the market decides that this threshold between a failure and success is crossed.

You are not wrong in your points, and I agree that the higher you price yourself, the bigger the scrutiny you should expect. But my name calling comment was in reference to posters here resorting to endless childish bickering and personal attacks against each other. Sure i have been guilty myself of the occasional rant but there are a few poster here that just can’t seem to be here to antagonise.

I have been as frustrated as anyone here, but out of all my genius oil stockpicks, rkh is the only one still standing and they even have a good chance of becoming a success. Compared with Xcite, Bowleven, Desire Petroleum, Argos Ressouces, And a few others that I have blissfully forgotten about, Sam has really hit the ball out of the park lol

Some good discussion, which is a nice break from the name calling.

I myself have had the occasional outburst towards Sam, and let us not forget how frustrating the past 10 years have been for us shareholders. Had I never heard of Rockhopper, and could have the time and money spend back, it would be a significantly more youthful and affluent person writing this.

Chessmaster and Ovests make some good points to counterbalance criticism of Sam and I agree with you both. I am ready to forgive and forget when first oil is a reality and Sam should rightly be commended for the Navitas deal. That was a master stroke tbh!

For me the biggest mistakes he has made for which there are no excuses are :

1. Agreeing on a deal with PMO without any target dates /deadlines . No penalty to PMO whatsoever for not progressing SL. Zip! They could still have held us hostage to this day had they not chosen to get out, and RKH couldn’t do anything about it. That is just crazy to accept a deal like that.

2. Then when PMO at some point realised that they couldn’t come up with the money, rkh willingly forfeited a huge part of their agreed compensation, and to the best of my recollection didn’t bother to ask for some target dates dates/deadlines in return. You would think this would have crossed their mind at this point…

3. Way to slow to cut costs and trim excessive director remuneration as rkh was going to the wall.

These 3 point I am having a hard time getting over. Yes the Egypt and Italy deals didn’t go as hoped, but at least it was an attempt to generate a cash flow while we waited for PMO to get their act together.

So in summary, I am willing to give Sam the benefit of doubt, as there finally seems to be real progress. In fact my confidence of this has never been higher. Do I still expect a shareprice of 10-20£ as was the case during the drilling campaign in 2010? No probably not, but as FID and FPSO gets sorted and when a drilling rig once again is making its way down to the south Atlantic at long last, we will blow through 1£ in a blink of an eye and I will put Sam back on my Christmas card list…

F… me! The nationalisation happened in 2007, and the case is won in 2023. (That’s 16 years by the way, for Market-Dealer and others who struggle with numbers) RKH vs. Italy has been dealt with at break neck speed in comparison. One have to wonder how many companies have folded while waiting for the outcome of court cases where they had their assets stolen by a crooked government?

Could the slow uptake in exercising warrants not be due to the end of year deadline? I mean unless you plan to sell the shares right away and bank the profit, then it makes sense to wait until last minute on the off-chance that the shareprice should drop below the warrant price of 9p before the deadline? However small that risk may be, it can be eliminated for free by waiting, so it would make sense to wait?

I have exercised mine as I figured it is a (very) small help to RKH, and thereby in my own interest, but when I wrote my bank their initial reply was that they would be exercised “when they were due on 31/12/2023” (or something to that effect). I then had to write them again and insist that they could and should be exercised now. Maybe other banks have the same approach? I am confident that the vast majority will be exercised in December, barring a big drop in the shaereprice of course.
