Valid points, however the variables such as taxation and risk premium would wary wildly across the companies you have listed I imagine. And in those two categories I think we should be placed better than your average Oand G company

Finley, nice if you to drop in and warm us all of our ignorance. You may be right ofcourse and rkh may yield nothing but tears. Most here are well aware of that risk.

Most here are also aware that every now and again, a nasty piece of work like you will appear out of nowhere and out of their good heart decide to spend days and weeks warning us all of the mistakes we are making. And that is the allure of the Falklands oil story isn’t it. We may very well just have scratched the surface, and when we start poking holes for real I cannot imagine that we will not have additional discoveries. I mean how unlikely would that be??

The first oil discovery in the North Sea was Ekofisk and started producing in 1979. It is expecting to produce until 2050… that’s 71 years of continuous production from one field. I am not suggesting that sealion will be of the size of ekofisk, but who knows what’s down there, and we are already looking to make serious profits from what we have so far.

Discovered in 1969 by Phillips Petroleum Company,[1] it remains one of the most important oil fields in the North Sea. I agree, and in fact i am at a loss as to why it requires FIG’s involvement in the first place..? Can anyone shed light on this?

LTT, i dont think (nor hope) that RKH will have a similar trajectory. Without having too much knowledge of Navitas and their other activities/assets, it’s a fact that they are an established oil producing company with a proven track record. RKH being successful is still a binary bet by many, unknown to most and a long shot by some. The moment the threshold is crossed where RKH becoming an oilproducer is a certainty- even to doubters- and the Falkland oil hype sets in again, 35 p will be a distant memory even pre-first Oil. My opinion only of course but this is why i remain invested. The re-rate will happen when the value is unlocked by RKH The Oil Producer making the transition from a hope and prayer to a certainty.

It’s easy to forget the value of the asset they are trying to unlock, but if successful, that value will come out.. and swiftly IMO

Who knows what is holding this down. Could be the warrants if people (like me) are unsure what effect they may/may not have on shareprice, and therefore wants to wait until it’s out of the way. Could be rebalancing portfolios before year end to offset some losses against gains. Could be (most likely explanation imo) that everyone is so accustomed to a shareprice that seemingly is only ever capable of dropping no matter how good news we get, and thus sit on their hands, until it re-rates upwards. When this happens I believe we will see the opposite take place and FOMO will finally set in just as it did in 2010. Barring any disaster, that is bound to happen within the next 12 month IMO which is we only accumulate and don’t trade this.

We need signed contracts, firm dates and money in the bank for funding, then the shareprice will start to reflect the value if this company’s assets. And those we were not around the last time this happened, will be shocked at how swift and violent this can move. Accumulate now and be patient…it is happening

Pre2rcd, yes i agree, it is quite puzzling why FIG have a say on this?? I also struggle to wrap my head around how we can owe taxes on money we have never earned/received. Sounds a bit like the tax regime where I come from lol

Sorry forgot to add: for tranche 1 and 2 only. There is still the likely prospect of a significant tranche 3 top up

So in summary, that is mio € 63,5 -69 mio (15/10% tax) net to Rockhopper after taxes and all cost related to arbitration, if Italys annulment request is denied. Or roughly the same as our current market cap.
