Trouble with Nuclear power stations is that Europe is still unstable, and war shows power stations are targets, and any in the UK or Ireland could be targeted by the likes of Russia with conventional weapons with little impact to themselves compared to those in Ukraine. Also drone technology makes them more vulnerable to terrorist style attack.

Its crazy how prices can double with demand as I doubt the cost of production goes up, usually more brings economy of scale.. This is the markets at work, lining traders pockets

AJ Maynard Consulting have reviewed the existing wells, Mount Winter-1 and Hussar-1, and have provided a re-entry programme and base case costings for Westmarket Oil & Gas Pty Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Georgina Energy Plc.). On successful completion of the testing programme the wells can be completed as production wells (REPORT ON PLANNING AND COSTS TO RE-ENTER EXISTING WELLS GEORGINA, AMADAEUS AND OFFICER BASINS, ONSHORE AUSTRALIA FOR WESTMARKET OIL & GAS PTY LTD). Projected timelines and costs by Maynard are consistent with historical and recent drilling campaigns by operators in the Amadeus and Officer Basins.

Maynard’s cost estimates are based on a minimum two well drilling campaign back-to-back and include evaluation using electric wireline logs and/or tested for flow and samples via a Drill Stem Test (DST). In a success case the wells could be completed with new casing, tubing and down-hole flow equipment, or suspended for future production.

I wonder if the Uk storage also supplies Ireland, I assume it acts as a buffer and gets filled during low demand, emptying during high demand, so must be impacted by Irelands consumption ?

Looked at towers spike, 99% got caught on that,,,, I couldn't get a quote until 0.59, and thats in the wick. And it was only because I was unsure if $15m was enough I held off..

It's very easy to point to personal pensions but I bet some couldn't afford the extra contributions and just had the state pension.. I doubt all companies offered schemes..then you had the companies with poor advisers where employees contributed so little pension companies did want to offer annuities when it was time, or offered poor terms .. and there are those who had schemes collapse, and probably others where husbands on state pensions died while their wife spent time looking after the kids...

Lots of different scenarios , and many people who just never had scoobies when it comes to money...
