Hi, i am a share holder in CAML have been for some time. How do fellow share holders rate Atalaya? certainly it is in a safer jurisdication - spain but they have a number of court cases outstanding relating to licences.... Reference Caml i do sometimes worry about where they operate but it seems remarkably stable...... it's not as bad as Ukraine at least......
Atalaya is cheaper than caml on some measures but the cash costs of Caml -- low!

Afternoon, i was wondering if anyone wishes to ass a view on the following. I have been reading up on the company and noted the oustanding liability due reference the Astor Case. I was wondering the loss of environmental licence that they are appealiong, could that in some way be connected to the astor case -- ie somehow someone leveraging the environmental group in retailiation to the non paid astor monies.....

any thoughts?
also was wondering what is teh worst that could happen to Atalya because of the loss of the licence? and the percentage chance of that happening? thanks in advance,
interesting company no doubt and definately seems to have worked through much adversity to get to where it is

morning all,
any news from the local sirius area... anyone seen the site springing back into action, or heard anything interesting since people back after the xmas celebrations

was surprised to read the uk government effectively giving support to shopping malls. Likes of hammerson and intu selling malls to local government and they finance it with low cost loans from the government -- 1.25% (although now at closer to 2.5%)
different sector i know but interesting to read of such support didn't realise it happend in the uk, but then again i have much to learn........

I cannot remember how i first heard of Sirius, i may have screened for companies making large daily gains and that was one of them, back in 2016 i think. i bought in the low 20's and had my investment ride up close to 52p. the first £1000 i put in sirius was the only £1000 that (temporairly) showed a profit.
hmm still have some sirius shares, keeping them as "options", like someone else said on here today

If there is any truth in this rumour, share price will jump as the leak spreads, no rns noted this morning

Just read polyminer post, could you imagine if icl's big investment is sirius. Not unthinkable, who knows that could be where it ends up. Could be the logical decision, albeit not that kind on us existing shareholders

Well pennon is becoming a bit of a momentum share. Hard to believe it was as low as £6.08 Feb 18. up near 70% since then (for the minute at least)

I was wondering if someone could better interpret this for me, from todays RNS "a post tax real cost of capital for the industry of 2.92% on a CPIH basis (1.92% on an RPI basis)"

When i read this, this morning i was expecting the shares to drop significantly, coupled with headlines today of £50 savings for water customers....... with 1.7M customers, that could be a near 85M reduction on the bottom line before efficiencies...
But what happend, the Boris bounce continued... interesting

thanks for the replies and discussion everyone. a few figs to work with - as well as taking on the different perspectives, will mull it over..... from the valaution perspective, even the £250M for 51% noted in the comment from Illbetabuck does give some hope, effectively valuing the company at over 500M, suggesting 100% upside immediately on funding, gives a little faith for keeping the funds in, especially if 250M considered a low ball valuation for 1/2. I personally think it is worth between 12.5-25p but it clearly isn't -- yet......... gla

The thread I started has been a bit prolific. Couldn't get logged on to the site yesterday at all.... Thank you for comments, I only had one response that answered the question, prise goes to illbetabuck, I was hoping for a wide range of expectations to further review and comment on. I've followed this company greatly over the last few years but £2 a share for our company isn't realistic. Any more views for what cash injection for 51 percent. Thanks

How much do you think a strategic investor woudl have to pay for 51% of the company?
Quite keen to hear views from everyone, no mater how bearish or optomistic but please realistic values -- not your best outcome. (price in millions -- cash injection -- lest say no warrants just they get 51% equity)
