Agreed dick - I got up early and battled for ooh, at least 10 seconds to log in, only to find talk of digit extractions.....so disappointing! ;-)

Dick - Xcite is indeed a sorry tale and one day someone will write a book about all the murky dealings. My knowledge of (and interest in) the death throes is limited. Fortunately the departure of the former Chairman was enough to give me a wake up call and massively reduce my exposure. None of the Directors come out of it smelling of roses.
Let us hope that Serica can show us that holding an AIM oiler need not always be so painful!

dick - I hadnt realised that you are / were eagle51. I too was involved in Xcite from the very early days and used to post on ii as Franconia. Fortunately, overall I probably broke even because I didn't stay until the end. I certainly missed out on being comfortably affluent by not selling when the Directors did though!
Serica has already been very good to me but I am hoping for substantially more over the next year or two and it represents my largest holding by some way. My other significant holdings are TOM, HZM and HUR. I also hold Sandstorm Gold after they took over Mariana Resources, which Fowler The Prowler tipped me into years ago.

Interims looks really good - cash of $21m is more than I expected and it seems that we will get confirmation of Erskine restart next week.

Looks as if the sp is having a breather this week.

Ive just bought a handful more at 5.7. This will move soon IMO. We saw it hit 10p just on news of the field test, back in June. We should easily surpass that with just a sniff of progress. DYOR etc

And as for news, did you read my Sat post re possible news tomorrow or Thur? No guarantee, but a liitle patience might help...

One of the posters on advfn is compiling a running of shares held by 30 or so posters and is currently over 32m shares or more than 50% of the company! Obviously, this assumes that posters are not exagerating. I have just registered over there so if you have a useful holding and have not already posted over there, you might like to do so....

Based on the last week or so, we surely will go over £1 this week. I suspect we may get Erskine restart confirmation this week too, maybe even tomorrow. BKR completion is the key to a proper re-rate though so let's see......

I've said before that I think Serica is on someone's shopping list so would not be surprised if part of the recent rise is due to either speculationthat we are "in play" or possibly a careless word or two from those who might know....

Mav - agreed. I think either BKR news leaking OR someone stake building with a view to take over.

I really cant see Namibia as the driver although it cant be doing any harm. Looks to be following the pattern of the last few days and rising early afternoon - now over 95p. Who would bet against £1 in the next days or so? Even without news....!

I am beginning to wonder if we are a target for someone... I am sure TCW would sail off into the sunset for the right price. But what would the "right price" be?

IMO, someone is buying a significant quantity whilst trying not to9 scare the horses.... Surely the Hardys have enough????
