Paddy - of course there is risk in the run up to results! Nothing is risk free. What if C Brown met an untimely demise and his loans had to be repaid and we don't have funds to complete the field test? Unlikely and a risk I am prepared to take but NOT "no risk"! Don't tempt the black swans!

Of course you can dismiss it as BB chatter but the poster concerned has some credibility IMO and either definitely attended the AGM or has two other aliases posting to back him up. Eiher way, I am invested and staying so until until value is reflected in the MC, which I do not expect to be until after the results of the field test have sunk in with Majors such as Total and Shell, so well into 2019 IMO

We can expect news soon, as one of the posters on ADVN was told by a Director at the AGM that we can expect an update on their return from the Utah trip - which I understand was Monday this week, so maybe a week to get it signed off and news next week????

One person's "large" is anothers' "pocket money" but I have a good five figure sum in here now. The fundamentals look good to me but there is significant risk. I just hope to collect my reward!

Offshore licence awards in UK 30th Round London, 24 May 2018 - Serica Energy plc (AIM: SQZ) is pleased to announce that the Company has provisionally been awarded three new exploration licence areas on the UK Continental Shelf in the UK's 30th Offshore Licensing Round. Rowallan South - Blocks 22/24f (split) and 22/25c (split), Serica Energy (UK) Limited: 20% working interest, operator ENI UK. These blocks lie directly to the south of the Rowallan Prospect, in which Serica holds a 15% interest and which is due to be drilled later this year. The blocks are offered on condition of making a 'drill or drop' decision to enter the next phase. Columbus West - Block 23/21b, Serica Energy (UK) Limited: 50% working interest, operator Summit Exploration and Production. The block lies immediately to the west of Serica's Columbus Field, which is in the advanced stages of development planning. The proposed work programme contains further seismic reprocessing and a 'drill or drop' decision to enter the next phase. Skerryvore - Blocks 30/12c (part), 30/13c (split), 30/17h, 30/18c and 30/19c (part), Serica Energy (UK) Limited: 20% working interest, operator Parkmead. The Skerryvore prospect lies in the Central North Sea, 60km south of Serica's Erskine field. The proposed work programme includes shooting new 3D seismic data and a contingent well decision.

Because the seller/overhang has cleared, Management are in/have been in Utah planning the field test and we can expect an update following this. Oil price has been above $80pb for ths first time since 2014 and expecation is that it will go higher. The recent AGM seems to have been convincing for attendees and there is a "vibe" that this time management will deliver something tangible. Is that enough?? :-)

Looks to me as if alot that had sold out have got back in. Certainly looks like it has legs today. News soon?

All the predictions for the market in Nickel and Cobalt seem to suggest that Araguaia will be coming to production at a perfect time. I would be very surprised if we still own it by then! I am sure a heavyweight miner will have taken it off our hands before than, quite likely the Chinese. I just hope we dont let it go too cheaply. I dont want to be sold down the river like MARL shareholders were by their CEO. I hope (and think) JM is made of sterner stuff!
