I am unable to paste the relevant post but this comment by Raymund who attended the AGM I asked seems very interesting to me:
"I asked Jeremy (CEO) about interest in a possible buyout and he confirmed that hes has had approaches but clearly early days still to get fair value. Asking what this would be, I suggested well North of 20p to which he nodded."
Well, rightly or wrongly, I have topped up based on the "vibe" from the AGM. If Management can actually deliver on this, under 4p is bargain basement territory IMO
It was suggested on advfn by fardels bear that we might see some Director buying of shares. I'm not sure whether we are in a "close" period but it strikes me that it would be a fabulous vote of confidence that 'The Deal' will go ahead in some form beneficial to Serica....
Well, it looks to me as if, after taking the weekend to digest information available, the market has decided that there is limited risk that the deal wont complete....certainly no sign of offloading of shares....

True - but he did say there was seller 2 months ago. Either way, the current level gives a fantastic entry point for anyone that can see the value here. I was impressed by the CEO's grasp of not just his company but also of the wider market that he is in.
I'm with you on the "ouch"! Probably asking too much given the current uncertainty, but I bet The Hardy's will be helping out! I expect a Holdings RNS next week.....
As mentioned below, there is obviously someone (for whatever reason but presumably forced) off loading these. When they have finished, it will bounce so take this as a buying opportunity IMO. Fundamentals all good.
I suspect that The Hardy's will be adding on current weakness. They are "believers" in Serica and were adding in the 80's, so at this level they are sure to be picking up more.
This IMO is a "no brainer" as a medium term hold. The MC is truly disconnected to the assets, even at this stage of development. The little detail that I really like is that 4 of the 6 BOD speak Portugues, 2 of them fluently! Things like that make a difference, hence (IMO) the cracking deal for Vermelho with Vale.
