The bed and mattress company invests in helping its customers to have a great night’s sleep. Its Sleep Better blog offers a wealth of advice, and its content-rich web site also has an insightful ‘Morning Diaries’ section profiling different people’s sleep routines. The brand forges partnerships to further both its knowledge and its value — for example, it recently worked with British Rowing to design a sleep sanctuary at its national training ground. Eve Sleep’s passion for enabling better sleep is embedded in everything it does.

In November, CC did say Eve was selling a Black Friday mattress every few minutes (4? minutes ) so there could be something in the Simba figures too; they must have had a similar experience. They do get more customer reviews and traffic to their site.

PS Silver F. I haven't looked but guess the official 2019 figures for Simba could have been to Y/E Jan, Feb March 2019 and the 2020 article figures must be 'estimate' / un-audited? Figures to the end of 2020 are to just 11 days ago (and the article was yesterday).

Hi SliverF, Yes, that is very interesting. Why do you suppose they would exaggerate so much? To look like the biggest beast?
There must be some truth in the acceleration though; the market seems to think so. Thanks for the Comps House numbers. Shows we shouldn't get too carried away. Eve are a more straight forward management altogether.

SilverF, I absolutely agree that we need to take Simba's figures cautiously: Private company and no compulsion to be as honest as a PLC. They are 2.5 times as busy according to similarweb, than Eve – very roughly, and over the months. I think TP bears that out though I haven't looked very recently. Cheryl C has said Eve are busy so Simba must be very busy even if this figures flatter their situation. That's my take anyway...

PL, ES, Doh, having been for a decent cycle ride across town (collecting a rather nice 1000 piece jigsaw off Freecycle for my daughters, and then to be sent to a school in Uganda if all pieces are there) I have a request; why don't you filter Wyndrum so that the people who Rec. his posts can still read them? It doesn't seem a lot to ask..
TBH, I don't think you've filtered him as you also appreciate that he makes good points, even if you disagree with some of his views. That's fine. Incidentally, I usually make an effort to read your posts too. I much prefer the insightful, non-aggressive ones which share your knowledge on what's going on, even some of your put-downs on the genuinely annoying.

Primerate, I've been thinking about what you say about upfront costs being high and profits come later. That makes perfect sense. Given the history here I do think CC would be wise to keep the bank balance at at least the level of £8m and preferably more as it's a sign post that people can read easily. If it goes down, whatever they say the reasons are, people are just not going to believe the detail. That's my perhaps simplistic take anyway.
Can I suggest a new diversion / weekend game? Suggestions – serious and not so serious – for Eve to expand its sleep range? Obviously there should be lots more pyjamas. What about decaf-coffee and other beverages.. curtains.. more clocks... clock radios.. sleepy lighting.. beds with storage.. bunk beds.. slippers

I returned my form the day it was emailed out. But I topped up today. Do I do nothing but ask HL about my vote; report the top-up amount; or write again with the new total number?
