Small investor, you compared Nectar with Eve a couple of days ago. I've just compared them on similarweb and in fact Nectar have been SLIGHTLY ahead of Eve for a while. BUT Eve nudged ahead for the first time, in December

Aldi are selling bed frames online now. Can't see a mattress from Aldi so I guess buyers will seek online mattresses too. Eve will get a share of sales presumably.

Aldi say that they'll be delivered a bit late – once the Brexit bottleneck is eased - so others are having logistical problems.
And a bit of a moral to boot too:
I held Yu energy shares for quite a while. Sold them (as they did nothing for ages) to buy some Eve in time for the update last week. Yu came out with a great update yesterday (after previous good updates that had little effect) and currently up from 105p to 205p: Moral for me is 'do your research and stick to your plan'. Hopefully Eve will deliver before and I'll still be holding this time..

Yes, lots of opportunities elsewhere and people think that they can go away and come back before the next news. On March 18, Eve will give more detailed figures and undoubtedly more detailed information on January February and the beginning of March, and presumably on France. Personally I think the doldrums will only be six or seven weeks with rises from early March. We know more or less what is in the results but there could be and nugget or two designed to excite. Unless something really fundamental crops up it looks like we’ll have to be reasonably patient but I have little doubt we’ll be fine in the end

Sales in France of 325million (whatever the currency?) would be pretty good. Maybe one day.

So still plenty of time for Director buys, and why wouldn't they wait whilst the dust settles...
CC has taken away the momentum in the past and it seems she's happy to have done it again. Are these possible shortages the result of Brexit or a pandemic / world problem? If Brexit related they should get sorted out and if pandemic related then we are still winning out there, on balance: We wouldn't be selling so much if the shops were still open.

SM84, I myself can't see it falling very much below 4p - to buy - before it rises again into March 18th. After the September spike it took 2 months to fall to the low of 3.7 (to buy) and that was only brief (I expect that was when Wyn bought back in :-)
There simply isn't enough time now (famous last words and IMO) before 'full year audited results on 18 March 2021' which is bound to attract people back.
And I do remember this from the RNS: 'On the upside, the online retailer plans to further expand its French business after revenue there jumped by 18% in the second half of 2020, driving full-year sales up 6% to 325mln.'
And this: '18% sales growth in H2, exceeded twice raised expectations for 2020'. I think that should give a better level of support between now and March.
I've bought Eve on the way down but bought much more on the way up. Having done both, I find the latter much more rewarding and have followed the policy elsewhere too. I think it's the most important lesson I've learned in the last couple of years.

We don't have to wait long now for the precise figures arrive in March, and Eve has a habit of the price rising before the results (as most of us know). That should be good news for anyone underwater this weekend.

Surfie, you’re probably right; WML who “ In July 2020 ..purchased shares in EVE at 1.32” and has therefore only more-than-three-bagged in less 7 months - if crystallised - is indeed fortunate to have put his eggs into more profitable baskets! If only I could have some of that ‘bad’ luck!

Cliff, I did the exact same thing as you. I put the money to reasonably good use through the intervening period and may bring fresh money back soon, so not all lost.

This is much more tolerable. I’d been expecting a spike - and then the dilemma of top slice or not before 4.30 today. No problem to hold at this level; ‘expect the best but worst won’t even be that bad.’.

Hi 1509, I'd be surprised if this helps much in your case but maybe it'll be useful to someone. It's the HMRC cap gains calculator. You'd still have to enter every share you've bought and sold. Never used it myself but tried a dummy to see how it works.
