Dreams has returned to profit following plunging into administration in 2013
Beds specialist Dreams reported a surge in underlying profits during the pandemic as online sales picked up the slack from closed stores.

Profit before tax rose in the 52 weeks to 24 December 2020 to £46.9m from £35.3m in 2019. Underlying pre-exceptional EBITDA soared to £57.1m from £47.8m the year prior.

Speranza, I missed that completely. I did see him post a link but assumed it was just something to have a laugh with friends. Since I have no connection with Twitter / NDN it must have been a joke. Pity you fell for it but that's your problem.

TP reviews tailed off in the last week of Sept (276 when we had been heading to >300) and 'Bad' reviews at 44 so rather disappointing and highest number as far back as I can see. Dropped to 4.3 out of 5 *s.

Also, leave France and then how do you get back into their shops.. Maybe the shops such as Olivier Desforges were asking CC to invest in marketing too. If they don't sell enough they'd probably refuse to stock them.

Personally I'm happy to spend the cash on France. It's pretty much Woodford's cash though it is supporting the sp. France was in decline so either you spend and reverse the decline, or let France with and ultimately you pull out. So at some point cash had to be spent - or leave France. Leaving France and then trying to return would cost an awful lot more if one were to attempt that. Contact with suppliers would be gone (and suppliers may also be supplying the competition and not want / be able to work for eve by then), staff and offices, gone.
If CC has ambitions for eve to be a powerful sleep co across europe then we should all do well long-term. Just my take anyway.
