One "Nicker" by the end of this week?

Touching highs for the last couple of days. Here we go past the one "Nicker" mark. the first time in a number of years. Up, up and away.

We got a great fight on our hands and at least it seems to be really trying to hold @ £1.80.

The worrying bit about the BT-SP is that the FTSE seems to heading North rapidly but BT-SP is not keeping up and is actually falling behind.

Lets hope we see an improvement and soon.

There was a new short position "Kintbury Capital Llp" taken up on the 6th Nov. We now have 5 companies shorting the stock.

We might be in for a bumpy ride and it's testing the £1.80 levels.

It's getting ugly no doubt about that.

Think back to Sept when the SP hit 221 and suddenly fragmented. Hop on Mr Mittal, and Vittal and since then the share has literally lost 25%+ of its value and its on a continual spiral downfall. . . !

Is this coincidence or is there something else brewing. I never thought a Bid for BT would ever materialise but now I am really wondering what the heck is going on?.

I don't disagree with what you are saying but I personally see good value in the share price at 165 - 185 and will consider my position if it ever came under pressure at the lower end of 165. Personally, I don't think we will see a return to those levels and if we keep the steady dividend I would be happy with that.

Judging by the way the share price has moved in the last 3 months I am really not sure anymore.

Personally I am convinced somebody, somewhere knows something that we dont and I suspect it could be negative news. But that is pure speculation on my behalf and I have nothing to back it up other than the share price dropping constantly.

As mentioned on many occations I am a long term holder and will sit this out.

It's certainly a frustrating share to hold.

I am a medium to long term investor and have seen many rise and falls only for it to stabilise and recover. However, I am not sure why there are 4 companies shorting the stock unless they know something we don't?

With the price dropping this week it will be interesting to see the numbers and compare against the so-called AltNets. We might get some kind of perspective on how BT will fare in the next couple of years.

Just noticed a new shorter D. E. Shaw & Co. Lp on the 22nd October. We now have four shorter's and Canada Life have again upped theirs by 0.02%.

Mnnnnnn - do they know something we don't. It doesn't really matter to me because I am a Medium to long term investor in the stock.

It was also my thoughts Re: Shorters, but since it has dropped almost everyday for a month even when the FTSE might have been up I fear there is more at play here.

I hope not and will continue to support - but I think short term (6months) we could see some volatility with the SP.

Why on earth would someone pump billions into a company, sit on the board only to find out that this stock is purely a defensive stock?

I am sure he would have completed his due diligence and was able to see (whatever it is) that this stock will eventually make him even richer then he currently is. You don't get to be a billionaire making bad decisions.

Come back in a years time and revisit your comments.

Judging by the performance over the last month I don't think it will be to long before we get there.

Very disappointing if you ask me, and even more concerning is the fact there are no particular updates of note. What the F&uk are BT management doing? Who exactly is controlling this share?

There are many buys today and quite big ones for example 200000 just in but the price still keeps on falling. Buys far outweighing the sells ATM.

I must say it is getting a little worrying since there are no updates from anyone. Who knows what that is the question.

If Miittal picks up an additional 1.5% of his total he would have to announce a takeover.?

Fleccy so with the seemingly imminent disposal and breakup of Talk Talk what effect if any do you think it might have on the BT share price.

It needs some stability as its on a downward trend and has been since Mittal has been appointed to the board.

We have broken through one support level of £2 where is the next support £1.80?

It doesn't really affect me as I am holding for the long term and also DRIPPING at the same time.
