It's early yet. Although I did think that the Market would be pretty upbeat regarding the results and the full year 2026 - 2028 projection.

Aw well its true what they say "you can never call a Market".

Onwards and upwards - the share buyback has to be a positive.

I believe it is, all I see at the moment are positive steps from Lloyds.

There is the dark cloud of Mis selling to be dealt with but monies have been put aside for that purpose.

I still believe this share will move up to £1.20 in the not to distant future providing that there are no skeletons in the closet tomorrow @07:00.

STP - and your reason you think Lloyds will fall to 88p?

Please enlighten us - All I see and hear coming out of Lloyds are good things. Not been like this for decades. Why should a fall happen now, like to know your reason why.

Harleygreen, TBF I have a significant amount of shares in Lloyds and the dividends paid far surpass anything I would receive in any bank. Most of them are also wrapped up in an ISA.

Happy to keep for a while yet with the hope they will eventually start with a 2.

@Harleygreen, not entirely sure that quickly and Lloyds Bank SP go together :).

However, I am happy to see the small chipping away at £1.20 which is DB's projected estimate post results. Lets hope DB "Are on the money" so to speak.

I do hope Cardigan is keeping well after the bashing we have just had in Carmarthenshire.

I believe you are right . . . . . . . It always (for the last 4yrs) been a steeedddyyyyyyy rise. I sincerely hope that we have seen an end to the double figure SP. If investors are looking for a steady climb and good divis then this one is probably a good bet, else best to look elseware if a more dynamic share and divi is needed.

GLA & lets hope we get to £1.20 sooner rather than later. After all its what all the analysts are predicting.

But doesn't chipping chipping away at reducing the 58 billion shares in issue increase the share divi in the long run.

The only news coming out of Lloyds is good news.

I guess the announcement on the 29th (judging by the SP) is going to be good. I do wonder how far the share can rise and will not be selling any of my shares anytime soon. Will hold out for some time yet and hope Lloyds will come good with another increase in Divi and SP.

TBF all that is coming out of LLoyds' mouth and everyone else for that matter are good and exciting things.

I have to agree and when they start giving back loads and loads of money generated through Buybacks etc everyone will want some of the pie, it could very well be a bumper 2 - 3 years. AKA Barclays bank and their share buyback schemes generated an SP increase and good divi increase.

I reckon we could see in excess of £1.50 by end of year providing we see the Share buybacks.

I don't disagree BB and I am in for the medium term but I do wish BT did something to stem the flow of customers opting for ALT net subscriptions.

STP You probably should be asking the question how much money has he lost in Lloyds - he is probably a disgruntled investor.

There is no doubt about it there is some concern that the losses don't seem to stop or at least slow down.

What are BT doing about it? Perhaps they are doing something in the background but I don't read anything much anywhere that they are attempting to stem the flow of people taking up ALT net subscription.

The other bit that worries me is that there are 6 shorter's hanging on and in some cases increasing their positions.

I suppose it doesn't matter much if you are in for the medium term but I do wish it would do something about the losses.

Also, dont forget that Lloyds has promised to spend £30 billion on loans for the economy to pacify her that must be obeyed. MS RR. And, there is the good old Buy back scheme that should kick in mid year.

Every time it slips below £1 it always bites back. It won't be long before we see £1.10 and never be a £1 share to buy again.....

And we are off, the psychological barrier £1 has finally been broken. has the elastic snapped and are we going to see a rise past £1.37 by years end. Lets hope the analysts are correct.

Sentiment for this stock is growing and I wonder what might happen when they announce the next share buyback programme and how much it could be worth. That can only be good for the share price and a hike for the DIVI.
