Has Lloyds turned a corner - personally I think it has. Analysts are predicting a range of £1.37 - £1.50 for 2026. I will be happy for that if it pans out.

What's this nonsense you are spouting. They (Lloyds) have closures in 2026 and they are available to see and in the public Domain.

Plenty more left on the high street. They way Joe public uses internet banking it wouldn't surprise me if many more closures are in the pipe. However, I believe there will always be a High Street presence for banks.

Its going to break through one way or another. No impending issues on the horizon, the economy seems to be stable, and Lloyds has informed the Accounts Secretary (RR) that the will invest upward of 32billion into the economy. What is there not to like.

My guess we will be over £1 sooner rather than later.

Of course they will embark on another buy back programme they have already spoken about that.

A share buyback programme is good for the shareholder and should (in theory at least) increase the dividend. So . . . I don't get why you say if lloyds do embark on another share buy back why you are out?

I fail to grasp why an interest rate cut would ultimately propel the LLOY SP. Surely if the interest rates are decrease then the amount of money the banks make in general would also decrease?

Care to explain how this all hangs together.?

I've not really understood it. Why would a rate cut be of benefit to Lloyds SP? Surely it would mean less income from lower interest rates - but I really dont know or understand the intricacies.

It is really trying it's best to remain within the 170 - 180 price bracket. I would hate to think what would happen if we broke 170 and where the SP would end up then.

When does the share buyback end.

A share buyback is obviously good for shareholders and dividends as they buy the shares which are immediately cancelled and no longer on the share register for calculating the dividends.

It will be interesting if they scale up more buying similar to Barclays whose share price has also doubled in the last 2 years.
