What don't you understand about a democratic vote?

The vote was to cease being part of the EU (Brexit) or remain as part of the EU (Remainers) from what I have seen the Brexit's have it. Why on earth do you still rattle on about re-joining 8 years later it done move on?

I voted to remain and I am a democrat who abides by the decisions of voters immaterial if I voted for or against.

Not if you sell them at knock down prices as you have indicated you have. Can't you see the upward trend?

If you ask me (for what it's worth) we could be seeing that kind of news in the near future. AK has already indicated that Fibre Costs have peaked and it looks like some movement on Staff reductions. I hope BT staff in general are treated fairly I have been made redundant and its not a nice thing.

I also believe that she (AK) is being pushed to speed thinks up and the Market have a feeling for this. Maybe this is why we are seeing the SP higher than its been for 2 years. Long may it continue.

Candi, I just hope that the SP maintains its upward trajectory. At least we haven't (yet) seen a downward retreat circa £1.50 as it has done the past couple of times its reached this level.

It looks like we could be seeing another level which is likely to be around £1.78. If it gets there and holds the position we could see upwards of £2.20 if AK gives us some good news during the May Update. AIMHO of course.

We have seen on many occasions the SP reaching £1.60 and quickly retreating to trade around £1.50 mark. Not sure what the difference is on this occasion but your right it does seem to be holding steady for now.

At lease we are holding off the inevitable intervention from SAV (for now)!

I don't really understand what the process is regarding the fibre lines. If BT are supplying it's competitors FTTP lines and have had to go through the process of supplying all the infrastructure surely they are able to charge its competitors (Alt-Nets) for using it's network, else, what is the point in BT being an independent company?

Mnnnnnn - very good point actually. It's the in thing now (buy backs) even the Banks are engaging in it LLoyds & Barclays. Look at Barclays share price in the last 8 months.

lets hope it holds up above £1.60 and pushes up to £2.00 else we will be hearing from our friend Sav at the earliest opportunity.

could you enlighten us a little more. I don't understand the comment Starmer and BT. I thought BT was supposed to be a free trading company. How can the government interfere with any free trading stock?

Fleccy I also believe something is happening. I have had my suspicions for some time now and especially when the SP gets to circa £1.60. There is definitely someone\something holding back this share when it peaks at this price.

Whether its legal, unethical or not who knows, again I might be totally wrong and its completely driven by Market forces? Either way the SP is struggling to penetrate that elusive £1.60 mark.

Lets hope the next set of figures are good and AK has something brave to announce. Else, I feel we could stagnate for some months to come. All IMHO of course.

Not sure if this is the appropriate site to ask this question so apologies in advance and please feel free to ignore the contents.

My current S&S ISA is EOL April 2025 and I will probably be keeping all monies including what the S&S ISA has made which will probably result in around 28k total amount.

If I decide to sell all of the shares in the legacy ISA Wrapper in 6 months time what happens to that particular ISA Wrapper or If I decide to sell some of the shares in 6 months what happens to the ISA Wrapper. I think what I am trying to say is. Can I have two S&S ISA worth 20k each running in parallel and buy and sell in the both wrappers simultaneously without incurring any tax deductions on either wrappers?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Expat - seems everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and downgrading BT. Seems to be holding for the minute at least but how does AK respond to all these negative downgrades. It doesn't look like she does anything and just carries on regardless?

I wonder if our friend SAV will grace us with his presence at some stage this week? Well I guess that does depend on the SP after all.

Longtimeinvestor, this is the Acid test right here. It's been touching and threatening to break-out from £1.60 for quite some time, however, for unknown reasons has never done so.

Hopefully, we will have our wish come true this week and a swift uptick to £2 AIMHO.

Either way it seems something is happening good or bad. This share is definitely beginning to resurrect itself, and long may it continue.
