The fluctuations in Analysts prices are so far apart it makes it a bit of a nonsense if I am honest. Sav posted a few weeks ago £1 and we see today £2.87 that's a pretty big swing.

Myself I maintain until we here any good and promising news on a fairly regular basis this share will continue to drive in the mid £1.40 for a while.

Let's hope that the investors put a little pressure on AK to liven things up a bit.

Hi Coronation,

This might not be the correct forum for this question but I am hoping that you might be able to answer it.

I have a S&S ISA and put in the maximum I am able to put in for 2024 - 2025. The portfolio is worth 25.5k. I understand this is Tax & Capital Gains free. When the new Tax year comes in on April 4 I don't want to sell any of the shares as they are all BT related and I would like to keep the in the ISA for 2025 - 2026.

My Questions are twofold.

Do I have to sell the amount that exceeds 20k in April when a new ISA comes into play for 2025 - 2026, and could I leave the remaining 20k in my ISA without selling them.

Do I have to sell the whole amount of the ISA and buy the shares back and create a new ISA for 2024 - 2025?

Any help on this matter would be very greatful.

The worrying thing about BT is the fact that they are losing customers but are seemingly not doing anything about it. Perhaps a price war or some sort of incentive to get customers flooding back to BT but I have not heard anything in any of managements statements. On a good note is that AK maintains that the full year prediction made will be meet for 2025 and beyond so that is a very positive statement in itself.

So - based on that one positive note I will keep hold of my shares for another 18 months and then see what happens.

Anyone care to speculate the sudden increase in share price (Not that I am complaining). Perhaps good news tomorrow in the latest round of updates, or has Rachel from Accounts come good behind the scenes for BT.

I hope it lasts and lets hope the £1.45 plus get the Kudos on Friday 2 days to Competition end.

I agree and that's the real 1 million dollar question. We saw some positive up-tick in December where we reached £1.61 after that its seem drop after drop after drop. Even the FTSE has hit new highs this stock seems to fade away. I think it's only for the faint hearted.

To answer your question I don't think we will see any movement until we hear some Terrific and incredible news in any of the quarterly meetings. Will this be in the near future - well that's anyone's guess I suppose. As I have previously stated I will keep for another 18 months and see where this one takes me.

Sav my friend, where have you been. We have all missed you. Nice to see you reporting in, I was getting a little worried about you.

They only comment when there is a negative announcement or if the share price is moving South.

They never tend to comment in any other circumstances.

It's great the share is moving North a little but the problem is it staying North. That has been it's problem for years. I hope we are seeing support at £1.40.

£1.30 are you joking. At this rate £1.20 wouldn't surprise me.

FTSE up almost 100 pts yesterday - BT only rose 2p. Market up 64 pts today and BT has lost all it's gains and more.

It's daunting just watching this stock. Best to put them in a drawer and come back in 18 months time.

I agree with your comments and for me it is going to be an 18mth waiting game. I believe AK is going to be pressured to produce a significant amount of free capital and we can expect some price wars down the line. Hopefully, it will result in BT winning back some of the customers it has lost over the years.

The divi amount I receive is fantastic and I won't get anything near that with any bank in the UK.

You might as well park these shares if you are brave enough. Come back when something tangible happens, something Major that will give this stock a right "kick-up-the-backside". It's what it needs.

The FTSE goes up BT goes down, FTSE goes down BT follows it's the same old pattern of years gone buy.

I have given myself another 18 months and then will decide what to do with my lot.

Nope - but you can bet your bottom dollar that the market does. It is not looking good unless this is the MM's giving the tree a big shake before some big announcement? Who know. I must be a sucker, nobody's getting my shares. I'll wait out - might be more fool me or .........!

BTW currently the £1.30's have it. Lets see what the next two weeks bring. Going by todays drop seems to me it's going to be a little bumpy?

Fleccy I agree with what you are saying, however, the problem with the share price is that the changes are not coming fast enough. We are all aware of the reduction in the workforce that has been announced once FTTP takes a foothold but the issue here is it needs to happen sooner rather than later if the share price is to increase to £2 and beyond.
