Thanks for the numbers - useful.

But I'd argue the copper grade could be a lot more than .25% as a lot of these heaps were historically 'the wrong type of copper ore'.

One other factor is the JPL have specialised in processing this stuff, XTR have no experience. They are after all, an explorer, not a miner so surely they can only be looking to sell it on so they will only get a fraction of your numbers - but it could be a quick flip adding to the piggy bank.

The JPL waste is around 1.6% which is obviously good quality waste but XTRs is currently unknown (to us). However JPL paid roughly about x 10 more per ton. If ours is anything like 1.6% then CB will have got himself a bargain. However, will there be a market? If JPL have their future source of good quality waste secured then will there be a market of ours if it does not meet JPL's current quality?

From memory JPL will be getting through about 45000 T/month so there should be a market if the quality is there.

Littlewing. I know there appears to be a link in terms of both JPL & XTR putting out dump RNSs on the same day but do you have any more evidence of a link than that? I've not seen it or am too slow to realise it. Can you illuminate?

Lucky, not sure your view of the dump waste is necessarily the reality. There are a lot of waste dumps in Zambia that are decades, even half century old and merely sit on some owners land. Many of those owners couldn't tell a mine from a hole in the ground (if you'll excuse the pun). Somebody comes along and says I'll give you hard cash for that pile of rubble and they feel that they're quids in.

As I've said before, I would like to know what CB plans to do with it assuming it's valuable (and I find it difficult to believe he would have bought it if it's not). Process it (what will that cost) or sell it on?

I find the fact that CN & Leon from JLP were both on the same podcast and they both reported the acquisition of copper waste on the same day as somewhat reassuring. I'm wondering if theres a link between the two. I do however wish that CB would let us know whats to become of the waste should it be of high enough grade. Are we going to process it or sell it on?

Irish, in answer to your question concerning Uber. It refers to the German word 'Uber', as in above, over, or in my rather corrupted translation 'high', referring to the gold grades. Nothing to do with taxis.

Monty, in response to your request for info regarding the gold results from Bushranger, the best, and to be fair they were outliers compared to the general results, was about 15g/T. I think a lot of drilling took place between the two porpheries looking for the source of those features and that's where this uber good result came from. In general the results were far lower but with the current (and potential future?) values of precious metals these components of the mix could also help make BR a realistic resource to the company.

Well, if the price of silver keeps increasing the way it has today it does make Alien's silver assets look very inviting....

The reality is that these flights have been happening for years its just that Trump made a show of it by having all of the imigrants handcuffed and transported by military aircraft. Columbia simply wanted them transported humanely as with privioius flights. The US backed down and reported it as the US getting their own way.

Just a word of caution. I have been in shares where one is convinced that you are onto a winner and you keep feeding the monster only for it to go 'itts' up with a single RNS. I did something similar with this comany's predecessor Arian only to find that the newly built mine equipment was unsuitable for the hardness of the rock and everything got handed back to the money boys. And that was despite the company spending money on further exploration right up to the last minute.

Don't get me wrong. I have invested further here because of the resources and this tale has nothing to do with Alien's merits (or lack of). I'm just saying be wary of putting all of your eggs in one basket.

BS - the link below will take you to the Kariba Reservoir data page showing the water level and the turbine throughput level. It seems like the rain is currently plentyful but it takes some months for the water to make its way to the reservoir. In addition I guess the land is very parched and will soak up a lot of water before it makes it to the local rivers.

I think the problem at the moment is the wet season in Zambia. However, that raises the issue of why the drill crew was heading out 8 week ago.....

Howezap, I'd also remind punters that despite all of the drilling around ascot, there appeared to be no attempt to find the crown which would have added to the overall resource. If memory serves me well then Ascot added nothing to the final resource report because most of the drilling attempted to join RC to Ascot - an area with relativly little Cu. So Ascot was ignored in the reporting. A drilling policy I never really understood.

Just looking at other pages of your link website Happydays. Although the reservoir levels remain very low I notice that the turbine flow rates have increased in recent days. It may be that the authorities are making use of the increased rain by generating more electricity but at the expense of keeping the water levels very low.
