It's 6 months away and with a good partner that's long enough for a relatively simple open pit now we have the license so we are told - only time will tell. Not to say that you might not be right which would be a v big disappointment IMO

The last para does apply to GLR in the past and its about time it didn't - can easily be solved by keeping shareholders properly updated and only setting a target date when properly confident it can be hit.

I actually so think the clearly stated Luansobe target of sept/oct 24 can and should be hit. Perhaps Colin is just surrounded by yes men and women and maybe that should change too - I would be saying focus on one or 2 key deliverables in the group companies and their projects (too many of these), focus resources on the priorities and get them DONE!

Listening to the 2 recent GLR podcasts with Colin, there were some very generally positive noises about Luansobe, however no mention was made of the start date for production.

This was stated clearly as September/October in the in depth Zambia podcast in February.

Conveniently neither Charles nor the Roast guys asked him about a production date.

Do we need to assume that this date is drifting? Shareholders should be given a best estimate update please.

It's of course possible that we can hit that date with the license in place, but more specifics most welcome.

Until production is confirmed as starting its hard to be a call option on copper I suppose

In the context of onshoring , global insecurity and green revolution, copper is the metal

That bid is good in that it shows that there is a great and growing hunger for copper assets, bad in as much as there would be one less keen competitive bidder for commercial copper assets, hope it doesn't go through

if he exercises these he'll have approaching 9% of the company

great incentive for him to screw the very best deal from a couple of asset sales - £100m or £200m over the next year or two and the maths is quite easy

It would make sense if the RNS announcement for the license could be wrapped up with an announcement in place for agreement in place with a partner for us to mine it ourselves - or even a sale of the interest

that would certainly move the price along pretty significantly!
