JS - Couldn't agree more that the Starmer's and Milliband's ( father was a Communist) - have made a very bad situation even worse.

But ' balance' requires we always acknowledge which Party got us into a very bad situation in the first place - on just about every political issue there is - energy independence, cancellation of the prison building programme, determination not to implement Brexit, Immigration, woke world,.... I won't go on.

It was Tory Prime Minister Theresa May who committed UK in law to 2050 Net Zero without a single thought other than ' Her Place In History'.

She also gave us Stephen Lawrence Day, but not a Lee Rigby Day even though the latter was much more recent to her Premiership

Her place in history should not be forgotten just because more recent mediocrities like Johnson, and Sunak have pushed us down even further.

I think delay is due to time consuming intensive work being devoted to saving Milliband's face when the decision becomes clear.

I came in in 2022 just before the new Levy measures and it has always seemed (just about) worth hanging in with JOG.

But it has seemed so long, and still so long further to go before a possible serious rise in SP ( odds improving but now oil price forecasts slipping with a Trump world trade contraction - what next ?)

Must seem absolute eternity for you Dick with your long history of investment in the company and its predecessors.

And s recently David Cameron ( the ultimate Tory bereft of any talent other than having been employed in the ' public relations industry ') tried to sell off British Aerospace to the Germans & French, the deal only falling apart because Mrs Merkel had some internal German political problems with it.

This is the Tories who go on about patriotism and wrap themselves in the Union Jack - Cameron really was the very definition of an inadequate quick talking Smart Alec with an overwhelming, but wholly misplaced, Etonian self confidence of his own abilities - his wife also did well designing handbags for very rich women who had too much money they knew what to do with - what a pair to rule over us.
