If I was the BoD and wanted simply to palm everyone off for as long as possible I would ask for "proof of ownership" before agreeing to an EGM. It may simply be easier (or necessary) to put the 3/4 Agenda items on the Agenda of the forthcoming AGM? In which case it would be sensible to spend the time on compiling that "proof of ownership" that they will require before the AGM date is announced

That is why I believe the Tanz Govt will approve the 25 yr Development License early and allow the Farm-Out to proceed; they need the gas. A reworking of KN1woudl restore AEX's cash balances but would push back the C1 drill by many months methinks.

Agreed BG, hence the news that we need next relates to licenses (ideally 25 yr Development License). Otherwise we can look forward to the announcement or at least the "heads up" for a dilution at the AGM. It is the only way that we can get the drill contracted and still drill in 2018. Anything else will simply leave us hanging indefinitely on spud dates and farm - out..... I won't be too upset about the dilution but it will be a nightmare recipe for the SP.

Tanzania you may well be right about the news relating to a Farm-In, however in the past AEX have managed to keep a very good lid on any "corporate" transaction", discussions or dealings... When there has been a "leak" it has more often than not concerned dealings with Tanzania authorities of one shape or firm. Consequently IF there has been a leak I would suggest it will be regarding licences or, maybe, the outstanding payment conundrum. .....

Regarding your EGM Agenda below BD, I would agree with all of them but for the 2nd one. I think we need to pick our battles and we are unlikely to win that vote as it seems, even to me, to be somewhat unreasonable to ask someone to work for nothing and to a large extent the BoD have no control or influence on the sp - they are not operators of any assets and do not control the newsflow. I certainly wouldn't accept those terms in similar circumstances. Furthermore if we execute on the various deliverables anticipated over coming weeks and months the sp is almost certain to rally irrespective of what the BoD do or do not do..... To give them rewards based on the sp would give them an unwarranted bonus. Get them to look after the assets and the sp will look after itself. Hence I think that putting controls and restrictions on them as the other agenda items do is a far more appropriate course of action.

It is an easy call to make on the MM's behalf all the time that there are 3 SELLS to every BUY; get it cheap whilst you can! There will only have to be some buying interest this afternoon for the MM's to begin to raise that price.

I doubt it Northern; with no news there will be some taking advantage of the rise to sell out and the MM's won't be slow in responding to that..... We need to yesterday's buying continue to maintain the upward momentum. Will that happen? Time will tell.

vike1 to your points below regarding a Special Dividend. I know that I do not need to point this out to you of all people BUT the tax position would be an irrelevance for most people as they will be holding their shares in a tax wrapper (ISA / SIPP). Unless you hold as many as BD! But the most important thing as that paying a special dividend is the only way that the full value of the asset can be directly transferred to the shareholders. A �50 million payout in dividend would immediately be added pro rata to the sp (prior to going ex dividend). Those that preferred a Capital Gain rather than an income could choose to sell the shares pre ex div date to crystalise that gain. Effecting a share buy back would not necessarily see that �50 million purchase translate into a corresponding rise in the sp.

I hope there is no news tomorrow and these nosey buyers see the sp sink back to below 2.50p.... that'll wipe the fecking smirk off their faces

Whilst the so rise is a blessing the fact that someone is getting fat on the back of some inside knowledge really does make my ******* blood boil... And it will be boiling again when they sell up on the spike and cause the so to sink...

john it has gone up , if you are able to look beyond the obvious. The spread is so wide that the movement is not reflected in the mid price BUT this morning the first BUY went through at 2.365p and the best sell at 2.3175p (mid price circa 2.34p) . Now those same figures are 2.48p and 2.3875p (mid price circa 2.435p). Don't let your cynicism get in the way of reality.

Some relatively good volumes going through this morning and a nice rise in the price of the BUY trades. Maybe a sign of good things to come. Here's hoping. Off out for the rest of the day. GLA :0)
