You will get inured to it once you have become a "lifer" like Tanzania; even I have become somewhat philosophical about it and that is after only 11 years.... whatever happens now is almost immaterial - the amount of time and energy I have expended on this bucket of "****e" will never be offset financially

Maybe Tonno but if the "hurdle" of 1.5p is any indication they don't appear too confident that it will fly very high, even once they happen... had they set those options at 3p, now that would have been a positive message.

What I find difficult to believe or understand is how any of you who have been invested here for any length of time can claim to be the slightest bit surprised?! Surely you would have learned the lessons borne of years of experience. We and the Board (of various colours) have been let down countless times by the reliance on timescales dictated by the Tanzanian Authorities and to suggest that this occasion was likely to be any different was surely an expression of hope over expectation? Unless of course you are of a certain persuasion, in which case it was nothing more than a down and out "ramp"......

When that becomes a 600% rise then there might be something worth celebrating; until then the only "leader board" that AAOG sits at the top of is "the leader board of shame"......

Several on this board had been predicting this and have come in for some serious derision and criticism - I think those that have been ****ging them off ought to hold their hands up and offer them an apology, It also goes to show that many on here that claim to know what they are talking about actually know no more than anyone else and their smug superiority is based on nothing but hot air.....

On my part it actually allows me to buy some more, so am unconcerned. It puts a few more coffers in the bank and allows time for the current projects to reach completion.

Lack of funds is evidently an issue for KN1 and KNS but there is still the outstanding issue of the need for TPDC approvals for the programme of work at KN1 - which has been outstanding for an eternity. So even with money they could not currently proceed. Moreover why would you spend money trying to turn the gas back on all the time that the Tanzanian authorities still owe you $7m for gas you produced over two years ago? If they paid the outstanding invoices AEX (and Solo) would have the cash to complete the work programme, once approved.

So before anything is likely to happen at Kiliwani they need
1) The TPDC to approve the KN1 work programme
2) The Tanzanian authorities to pay outstanding invoices
3) And / or partner with cash to fund the work programme and keep the lights on
4) TPDC approval to drill KNS and build pipeline
4) A partner to help build/ fund a pipeline to SS GPP for KNS
5) A partner to help fund KNS drill programme.

So a lot of boxes to tick Steve.

MAX, Wentworth unlike AEX are a "producing" gas company and hence they have "leverage". AEX have no leverage at all.... That's what comes of screwing up at KN1 and losing the company's only income stream. A project that was ****ed up on Brian Hall's watch.
