"Spot on,but always got me why haven’t they bought us out." As CP alluded to, had ARA or the Zubairs wanted to take AEX private at any point they could have done so very easily. But that would not suit their longer term intentions for AEX, after all how else could they get shareholders to fund all the licences, fund the development, take all the risk and then pass 50% of the upside to their conerstone investor for a pittance unless AEX were to remain a Public company?
However now that AEX has (temporarily?) decided to forego any ambition to act as operator on any of our assets is that strategy still valid? No, it isn't as, in future we will never have sufficient "control" of any asset to be able to pass it to anyone; at least not once we have farmed-out our last remaining asset to a third party for yet another pittance.... so we may yet see the day when it does happen.
