Unfortunately so too was Rellik, right to be cautious, right to advocate a healthy scepticism and absolutely NOT what mctripe describes as "Another one trying to talk the price down with subtle deramping..... you're so obvious". No actually, just someone being honest with his views.

It is disappointing of course that we have to experience yet another delay but, as many here will surely agree, what is another 3/4 months after over a decade of waiting. It will come good in the end, we all need just a little more patience.

I suggest you are the one that needs to go back and check my posts; you will find that what I have consistently said was that the price will not rise significantly until we get within striking distance of the Spud date. Whereas you have been saying for over 18 months that it would rise on each of a number of news events.

Thankfully most posters do actually have a grasp of reality and will take your protestation for what they are worth - which is about as much as they do about your predictions.

What a very selective memory you have Mctripe - I have simply offered my view that it would take a lot, lot longer than you would have everyone believe before the sp reached anything like the price you said it would - and it has. And I have never linked sp rises to first gas, just proximity to the CH1 spud; and lo and behold what have we seen? What happened to all of those forecast sp rises based on a series of positive news events Mctripe? The answer? They only ever existed in your fantasy world.

I would expect them to spend money on return of Production at Kiliwani before going on to pay Shareholders a dividend. What is more I would then expect AEX to be looking to buy new Exploration and Production assets outside of Tanzania - too much concentration risk having all your eggs in the Tanzanian "basket".

The reason that WEN pay so much in divi's is that they have nothing else to spend it on - much to the frustration of many of their investors. That is not (yet) so for AEX I suspect.

Yes GL, based on what was said at the AGM that was pretty clear. Though, of course, things may well have changed since.

Morning all, firstly it goes without saying that it is a long time since the AGM and the seismics were always likely to influence drilling plans, so of course things may have changed BUT I can only remind you of my AGM report from back in May when I suggested that it was the stated intention of following up CH1 with a second drill in quick succession - what is now being referred to as CH1b. There was no suggestion that they would use CH1 for two targets.

GL, please help me out; how is a rise from 0.7p on 11th October 2021 to 1.25p on October 12th 2022 a rise of 108%?

That may be true Ufufuo but AEX is still a similar price as it was in October 2019 and lower than it was in October 2020.... mctripe has been exhorting everyone to buy into AEX since Q1 2021 with the expectation that we will soon see 1.5p and here we are just weeks ahead of the anticipated spud date and we still haven't seen it. No surprise to me but surely disappointing for many?

As I have been saying for ages now, I have always expected to see a good rise once we have a spud date and the rise since August comes as no surprise (albeit a couple of weeks earlier than I had expected) as people anticipate that Spud but the rise we have seen has hardly been meteoric.

That is yet to come ;0)

And overstating it would be a recipe for disappointment - after 18 months of failed expectations mctripe I thought you might have learned that by now?

And no-one is saying that there isn't a possibility of Oil shows; simply that as far as the AEX BoD and APT are concerned they are "targeting" gas, no matter what mctripe would have anyone believe. But then reality and mctripe's version thereof have never been too closely connected. :0)

Jackpack, I would be amazed if they were to drill with that old rig. I cannot even believe that the contract that was put in place way back then would still be current. AEX are no longer even the operator - APT will surely want to do their own thing.

So POC you say that "It must mean CH1 is in the right location, which means they must have interpreted the 3D around the drill location" and I would tend to agree - I said as much to another poster here in an separate conversation earlier today. You also say it "must mean they have a rig". I am not surprised that we have not seen an RNS to confirm the drill location as, it is hardly a price sensitive piece of information. However it would be harder to make the same claim about the Rig and Contract I would suggest? And yet there has been no RNS about a rig contract under AEX current management nor since the farm-out; nor has there been any report of a drill has being transported to the drill site; so, to mctripe's point "It could also be done as early as the start of November, which is 4 full weeks and 4 days away." I think that highly unlikley as the drill would have to be inspexcted "in-situ" and approved before a drill could be initiated

Moreover you say "Full 3D area will be completed by then (8th October). News shortly thereafter. What news are you anticipating? Rig, Drill contract? Yes maybe but if they are already in situ why not already? Surely not seismic results nor revised GIIP estimates? As the RNS itself states after the 8th October completion, "processing and interpretation continuing into early 2023".... I suggest that they will not be revealing any conclusions about those until 2023 then eh?
