The analysis required for confirmation of the CH1 location should now have been completed - the question is whether simple confirmation of the final drill position is worthy of an RNS? Maybe they are looking at more than just that?

Don't worry MAX Tripemctripe tells us that SCIR will be worth 7- 8 times what it is now is a years time. But then he has been telling us that AEX will be 1.5p in a matter of no time, for the last 18 months or more and here we still are waiting.... ;0)

Considering "lead times" and the reference to the "planned 2023 drill campiagn" it would suggest no drilling until Q1 at the earliest? :-(

Triplestar - what is the date of the excerpt you are quoting? Is that a recent publication?

With an order of that size it is likely that it will have been filled over an extended period of time; if so, the final time and price will be when it was completed and the "average" price over the period that it took to fill it - consequently it is difficult to be sure but superficially, yes, I would agree it looks like a buy. ;0)

Only time will tell BG. I know what I am expecting and think it counter productive to overstate (my view) what to expect from Phase 1 seismic results. Raising people's expectations usually leads to disappointment and a temporary spike on news.

Well I would be surprised to se that - the "phase 1" data will be fairly localised and designed for a specific purpose - CH1 location - it is not likley to provide sufficient data to yield the necessary information for a revised TCF number.

I hope I am worng but I won't be holding my breath.

WEll, honestly BG, I hope I am wrong but I am note expcting any more "meat on the bone" - until they have completed the full seismic programme they will have insufficient data to come up with much more - certainly not GIIP figures for example.

BG if all the market is anticipating is the final decison of the positioning of CH1 I would suggest that no-one is likley to get too excited about it....

Which is why one previous CEO decided to avoid issuing "target dates" - they make you look a liar and yet, as is even more true today, AEX have absolutely no control over these dates.

CP, with the price and conditions that ARA or, previously Wentworth, were paying for the 25% I think the "risk" is pretty minimal in any meaningful commercial sense. Indeed I would suspect it is as much about "control" and the simplification the JV arrangement as it is about potential upside - that is not in question, the price they are paying is even more of a fire sale valuation than they succesfully offered AEX.... the mistake from a SCIR shareholders perpsective was to accede the BoD's proposed change of strategy. Though that , I will freely admit, is easy to say with hindsight - most SCIR Shareholders agreed to it at the time and are now paying the price - a symptom, perhaps, of the fact that shareholers had totally unrealistic expectations of the sale price? There was only ever one buyer in town; the pitch was always rigged in favour of the "operators" - not to recognise that was short sighted in my view.

Water under the bridge maybe - though I see there are some advocating SCIR as being cheap as chips and totally undervalued; which must surely deny all recent history and experience but hey, that is none of my business, I sold out of SCIR long ago and hitched my Ntorya horses to AEX - as much by luck as judgement I hasten to add. Though I will repeat that I have minimal confidence of any "Portfolio Investment Companies" - If I want to invest in "collectives" I would rather trust my judgement to Investment Professionals not O&G technicians....

Now a 52 week high would definitely be a milestone and with two days left before September too ;0)

I doubt they be in the slightest bit concerned BG, ARA is not even a public company, unlikely that they give two hoots about "share enhancing news". Moreover they are in total control of the destiny of the 25% and indeed the newsflow - so they can largely manage the message should they wish to.

It wouldn't surprise me BG to see them use the same drill for all planned drills up to production and maybe beyond. It would save on cost and time of getting drills transported to Tanz.

Oh and by the way vike PT got an average of less than 3.5p and sold most of his holding post spud... so I am not sure that it made much difference to the run up to the drill results.

We can but hope so vike - it would be a shame having missed out on 7+p last time not to get the change again in the short term ;0)

Double yesterday's volume perhaps but still not even meeting the average daily volume for the month of August. So whilst not to be sneezed at nothing to write home about either. It would need to double to reach last Thursday's volumes, for example - I can only hope that it does.
