There was always going to be some residual turbulence on the journey to recovery.
There's more positive than negative to look forward to coming up.

A splash of cold water here but the time to celebrate is when Cine is open and showing the first proper blockbuster.
Of course some will be happy to cash out between here and upto and including £1.
But I'd assume most LTH's are in this for the long term.

@NOFEAR, Well, if any of them is reading this then I'm holding these for YEARS.
I want to see where this goes 5 years down the line.
So they can go suck major league monkey butt before they get my shares.

And the U.S won't be far behind.
We've now got the best part of 6 months to get the over 50's and vulnerable vaccinated.
With the military behind it as well, this should nobble Covid easily by then.
We're on our way now.
Hopefully open the doors in April.

FT are shorters propaganda in this share as seen with their massive deramp story just a day before the news broke about Cine acquiring extra liquidity and waivers.
I can imagine many brown envelopes flying to the editorial teams of late.
Read their content of course but take with a massive pinch of salt.

As FunInvestor said, those are studio dates not Cine's.
But that is more or less what they will be sticking to.
I've mentioned it before but I work for a global franchise with strong links to the movie industry for tie-ins.
A few years ago, I was at a meeting with Disney and they outlined their movie line-ups right up to, get this - 2030.
They put up a timeline on the screen of all their 'properties' along with projected revenues and it was like listening to a strategic military attack briefing.
Depressing as hell from an artistic point of view but sweet music for share holders and investors.
Make no mistake. These films may be delayed or moved.
But they are coming.
And they will make everyone involved, even us, some serious money.

I agree, Peter that it will take a long time to get to pre-covid levels.
Personally I've chosen this as a seriously long term recovery stock to add to my otherwise boring portfolio.
I'm talking 5 years down the line for this one.
BUT this share has proven to be bat$hit crazy volatile.
It wouldn't surprise me to see it spike to £1 with the vaccine green light news only to settle again in the mid 60's.
That spike though may be enough for a lot of people to take profits.
Personally, I'm waiting to see what this does long term but won't begrudge anyone taking the fast money on the next big spike.

Cinemas have proven to be recession proof and actually do well during economic downturns.
The relatively cheap cost of going to the cinema versus a holiday in order to enjoy some escapism from the daily grind has been a time and tested draw during recessions.
And don't even start with the streaming argument.
People want to get away from their own four walls not spend even more time there.
That's not a 'day out'.

I've been in this since the initial crash and seen it get dragged up and down and side to side.
Never, ever felt like selling.
But I'm in this one for years and I mean serious years down the line.
A RI doesn't even faze me. I'll make it up.
Can understand how some people got spooked (AHEM, Boix) during the dark days but I had faith in the lenders not wanting to see billions of their money written off. I knew they would find a way.
Can't see much drama now until the vaccine green light in the U.S. Expected us to bob around 60-65/70 but the new short put us down somewhat.
Just a small pocket of turbulence but we've weathered the worse now.
Full speed to opening!

Covid in the U.S has been totally politicised.
I said that the vaccine will magically appear after the election result and it did.
I'm going to predict that within a fortnight of Biden's inauguration, the vaccines will be working, cases and deaths will fall away like it was nothing and Biden will get all the glory for saving the economy that Trump could not handle with the U.S swinging it's todger at the world as to how it is a global standard for healthcare that everone else should look up to again.

No worries.
I think they use multiple accounts across different shares.
I remember one particularly repugnant day when RR crashed and they all circle jerked and with no sense of shame proclaimed (paraphrasing) 'we've crashed and destroyed this one. Shall we go to IAG and crash that one next?'
Absolute scum and need calling out at every opportunity.

Unfortunately it is required.
The old adage 'bad things happen when good people do nothing' is pertinent here.
There's always an influx of new investors who will easily get spooked and influenced by the nefarious paid deramp squad.
Thankfully there's a fair few of us around at any one time to shoot them down.
Just doing God's work.
