Carrots, I believe this will come good and you’ll see £1 at least this year.
Even if opening is pushed back till summer / autumn, it won’t need much more to see us through.

The really positive thing I took from the Tony Blair / GMB interview that I was not aware of was that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine looks like it will get green lit by end of Jan or early Feb in the U.S.
This is their equivalent of the Oxford AZN jab as it can be stored at fridge temperature.
It'll put them about six - eight weeks behind us but with J&J promising a billion doses in 2021, I think this will be the one to really steamroller the virus in the U.S.
It's probably big pharma and their 'friends' in govt or it may be patriotism or just plain old sour grapes on their part but they've not liked the Oxford vaccine since it emerged as the front runner and put every barrier up in it's place.
Either way, I was getting concerned about the U.S but the J&J jab has given me fresh confidence for Regal opening up.
Any delay to opening now should be minimal.

Quick summary to counter those who have managed to find a negative twist:

- Mutations: All viruses mutate but it's highly probable that the current vaccines are effective agianst the latest strains.
When YEARS from now, the vaccines are no longer effective, it is a quick process to create a new vaccine. Just like flu.

- There MAY be restrictions brought in next winter but he never elaborated on those.
My reading into that is whatever is brought in will be nowhere near as draconian as what we are seeing now.
He was certain though that the vaccines would get the infection rates down THIS SPRING / SUMMER to almost no restrictions or very few.

- This isn't going away. Yes he said that. But then he followed that up by saying that we'll have the infection and death rates down to similar numbers as the flu and that's a level that society is comfortable with.
Chris Whitty's actual words: People die. We will never get zero infections. Just like flu - we are happy with the annual jabs.

Bottom line: The UK will be back to normal or as near as damn it by spring / summer.
For Cine's interests, the U.S is much more of a concern and we really need to see those guys get their jabs going.

I think there is a new agressive strain infecting this board.

For the rest of us, it appears this condition is short lived as the infected usually recover after a few weeks and slink off to ADVFN to live out the rest of their bitter lives.

The alternative would be to drag the tier system on which would kick full reopening of the economy back to autumn.
I reckon we’ll be back to normal in the UK by mid summer at the latest (although I think Boris is actually right this time when he talks about springtime) and getting the coaches fully loaded up.
This is good news for us and the markets seem to agree in this first hour.

I said it last night but the UK no longer concerns me.
This lockdown along with the massive vaccine roll out will see the UK be the first western country to fully reopen its economy by spring / summer.
I’m more concerned with the progress in the U.S.
California and NYC in particular.
If Biden makes good on his 100 million jabs in 100 days then well be in a very good place indeed.

... and indeed, the rest of the economy.
I’m now confident the UK will be open and back to normal by late spring / mid-summer at the latest.
Cut off the infection routes whilst vaccinating millions.
Perfect.
This will give the UK huge international kudos and put immense pressure on the U.S to catch up.
My concern in regards to this share is no longer the UK.
We now need the Netflix owned Cuomo to feel the heat in NYC and for the Californians to queue up for the shot.
