GreenRoc Accelerates their World Class Project to Production as Early as 2028. Watch the full video here.
Positive news continues to flow from our key state and county in the U.S.
We are very close to moving down a tier to 'moderate' already in L.A county just a week after exiting 'widespread' and into 'substantial'.
The figures are updated every Tuesday and as of yesterday's update, L.A county's metrics were:
4.1 adjusted cases per 100k population
2% positivity rate
2.8% health equity rate
To move into moderate which means 50% CAPACITY FOR MOVIE THEATRES, it needs to hit:
1.0 – 3.9 daily new cases per 100k
2.0 – 4.9% positive tests for entire county
Less than 5.3% positive tests for health equity
Very very close there. Just that one metric to beat.
Oh, they've also now vaccinated over 13 million people out of CA's total population of 40 million.
About 2 million per week.
I'm thinking we'll see that reopening RNS as soon as LA goes to 'moderate'.
Which is looking very very very soon.
We all love a nice entry first thing in the morning, smalltrader. ;)
Whilst I'm here, Tequila & Tonic for me.
Watched Lost back in the day. Kate orders one at the airport in the first episode.
Tried it out of curiosity.
It actually works. Beautiful drink.
itrader, you are the Kylo Ren of derampers.
Trying so hard to emulate the great dark lords of the past but failing miserably and looking childish in the attempt.
Go to bed.
Apologies for this but seeing as there's no dedicated board for this yet, what are everyone's thoughts on Deliveroo entering the fray?
Personally, I don't get it.
Uness I'm missing something obvious - why would you float on the stock market just before all the pubs, bars and restaurants open? Surely this last year would've been a high water mark for them?
I was originally tempted but can't see anything but a drop for them as we get deeper into the year.
Again, I know this is our Cine board but can't see anywhere else to discuss it.
Interested to hear some thoughts.
Thank you, gang.
Good stocks, Phil.
Sit. Hold. Forget for a year at least.
I know that's hard, especially if you're looking for a quick return but if you can afford to sit for a few years and not get emotional, I reckon you'll be rewarded handsomely.
Phil from Bolton,
It's hard to say this without sounding condescending but the waters we've chosen to swim in here are not a safe space and the sharks will employ every trick in the book to empty your pockets.
The FT (like every media outlet) will prostitiute themselves to the highest bidder.
Although it can never be corroborated, read their previous articles and you'll see a pattern where they trash anything that threatens the Murdoch empire.
They have as much integrity as a politician's expenses form.
In my opinion. Of course.
It's a good question and one that nobody really knows the answer to.
They'll probably agree to an out of court settlement.
Or it may even get dropped.
Can't see either side having the appetite for a costly and time consuming legal battle after the last year.
Hi Toby,
All the details are on the Cineworld website under the PLC section.
The results and webcast is at 9.30 GMT on the 25th March.
However, as seen with many other covid hit stocks' results, you may well be disappointed if you're hoping for a drop.
Anyways, full details here:

I'm well thanks, Z. Hope you're doing well too.
And sorry for the typo Bombdog!
Yes, Mooky has played a blinder and Z's comments about waiting for a good run of movies matches up with a Bloomberg report I've just read on this which states Regal will wait until May to reopen.
But as there's been nothing official from Cine, I think Bloomberg are just going off the last major RNS to arrive at that conclusion.
Whatever the thinking, the whole industry is gearing back up to life from it's slumber.
Exciting times ahead.
This is awesome news to wake up to, Bimbdog.
I'm sure Mooky is smiling as well this morning along with all of us!
With covid rates tumbling all over our key states and counties, things will only get better for us.
By the time we fully ease restrictions here in the U.K in June, capacity restrictions in the U.S should be near enough to 100% as well. The summer will be a big one for movies.
Reopening news must be imminent now.
Or do you think Mooky will wait for 50% capacity?
Which won't be too far away given California's rapid fall in Covid numbers.
Thoughts?
Hey hey hey!
I think this commotion warrants a quote from Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction:
"Nobody's gonna hurt anybody. We're gonna be like three little Fonzies here. And what's Fonzie like? Come on Yolanda what's Fonzie like?
Yolanda: Cool?
Jules: What?
Yolanda: He's cool.
Jules: Correctamundo. And that's what we're gonna be. We're gonna be cool. "
Could be something in that Saihaj regarding the shorts.
NHC have been reducing every couple of days or so of late.
Have a look on short tracker. It's quite amusing to see their activity.
Beat me to it, Bombdog!!
But still very exciting news.
The tiers and restrictions should slowly ease up as move towards June.
Could we possibly have a full summer of blockbusters with no restrictions on both sides of the Atlantic?
I'm starting to think so.
Cali updates its tiers and figures every Tuesday.
And this week, our key county of Los Angeles has absolutely smashed through it's tier target as Covid metrics tumble over there.
We could well have L.A (and most of California) good to open next week. Albeit reduced to start off with like N.Y.
Either way, we look on course to be opening very soon now.

Page 3 models from the 80's?
Be like bowling balls in a pair of tights by now.
I'm not paying out extra for wheel barrows to cart their old pendulous money makers about.

I've posted the link here for others because that is HUGE news, Jack. Cheer for this.

I think it was their second to last article throwing shade on Cine where it was so obvious they were paid by streamers to publish their propaganda.
In the article they actually put the words 'Netflix' and 'Disney+' in bold writing in such a blatant display of paid placement, it put Subway to shame in Happy Gilmour.
They're becoming a parody of themselves.
Shameful.
Can only second what Saihaj just said.
Biden just been on news to tell the American people about the stimulus package.
If this doesn't finish blue tomorrow, (and significantly so) I'll buy a hat and eat it.
*Cos i don't currently own a hat.
