Cheers, Fun.
Been very busy with work lately so I've not been keeping fully abreast of the news.
Been hearing snippets about passports etc but obviously not fully au fait with the details.
This board is probably better than most news outlets anyways!
I know it's in the UK but it still a good indicator that if the snooker final can open at 100% capacity, then so should cinemas.
It's practically the same set up.
Just with everyone looking at a table instead of a screen!
Also, sorry if already posted. Not had much chance to be in here today.

When we first re-opened last year, Cine showed classics films in the build-up to Tenet.
Then, when Tenet did release, Cine showed it in every screen available to maximise revenue.
Normally, there would be quite a few films showing all at once.
My gut feeling is that we will open up straight into whatever the big film of the moment is using the same system. I.e: all screens showing the newest biggest thing as i suspect cpacity will still be limited initially.
I can't see Mooky not wanting to rake in maximum revenue from the biggest film of the week.
I'd be really surprised if he opened up with Kong unless there was nothing else out at that moment.
AZ not even used in the U.S.
Affects Cine's business about as much an ant bothers the tyres of an 18-wheeler.
This is THE biggest news yet for us.
Was just looking at the weekly update and now EIGHTY PERCENT of California is in the 'moderate' tier.
Look at the beautiful graphic here:
https://covid19.ca.gov/safer-economy/
But I didn't know about the date of ending most of the restrictions.
It does say in that article that masks and limits will be in place for the forseeable future but I can't see that either lasting too long or having much of an effect on attendances as we're already seeing.
What a great find, Yela.
And what an even grader end to the day.
Full steam ahead.
More possible good news:

Absolutely, Fun.
The more they protest, deramp and set up one-hit wonder accounts, the more it proves to me that the shorters and ii's need our shares because this is only headed one way in the long term...
UP.
Well said, John.
And in California, where it REALLY matters, they will have vaccinated over 20 million people (19.7 as of yesterday, that'll be over 20 by the time tonight's figures roll in).
To save some people from Googling, California's population is 39 million.
Over half of that population now vaccinated and all the key metrics there keep falling like dominoes week after week.
As serious investors, that's where I believe our main focus should be sighted on.
Another one post wonder to tell us all how awful this share is.Keep em coming kids. The ulterior motives are now just so obvious it's actually amusing.
Anot excellent find from Westwood.
Just wait for a few months down the line when we're practically back to normal.
This snowball just keeps gatherin, a-pace.
It's a very subtle thing.
But has anyone else noticed more and more movie trailers dropping into their social channels?
The doom merchants are clinging on for dear life but the beat from Hollywood is very much 'we're back'.
Nothing like last year's ghosting from the studios.
Fast forward a year and they U.S is leading the world now in vaccinations and just like us here in the UK, it's a steady but irreversible March towards normality that steps louder with every passing week.
To all the new passengers who bought in the £1 / £1.20 range, seriously - chill.
I truly believe you've got a bargain.
Us old dogs with averages in the 40-60 range are still here (well, some of us are) and still topping up at these prices and actually averaging UP at the moment.
That's how much I think this has yet to go.
Merlot & Lasagna tonight.
You're all awesome.
Love & kisses, Crumpets. Xx
Can anyone do the sums on roughly how much they pocketed?
Even though it'll probably make me feel dizzy.
I was tempted, Casshy but I just couldn't get my head around investing in them just weeks before all the bars, restaurants and pubs open back up. Bonkers to me.
I wish all new investors here the very best of luck but the stock market is a cruel, cruel mistress and the ii's will play with us PI's every step of the way to shake every last penny out of your pockets.
My advice - don't listen to what they say. Watch what they do.
Good luck all.
May & June are the months I'm really waiting for.
Been waiting for over a year for, really.
By then, most of the U.S will have been vaccinated, big movies rolling out but most of all - the Unlimited Cards start up again.
That's over $200M a month rolling in. Just in cards alone. Combine that with regular customers, concessions, IMAX, 3-D, 4DX and bar sales and we will finally hear the ringing of tills that will really fuel this share.
At the moment though, it's obvious we are a trader's dream.
A couple of pence up and down every day ot two.
Nice little earner, Rodney if you just happen to be one of those lucky people who seem to have a knack (ahem!) for knowing exactly how a share is going to perform. ;)
Even though I only post on this board as it's my biggest investment by far, I do peruse the other boards I have holdings in.
And you know what?
It's not just us here in Cineworld.
This entire site seems to attract some proper Dime Bars.
I know many are paid by the hedge funds but at least they are to some extent knowledgeable.
There are plenty of others though, and we've seen a fair few of late here, who just post Fisher Price level drivel.
I can only think they are knuckle dragging, mouth breathing, basement dwelling, cheesy puff munching full time trolls who've found this site entirely by accident.
There's probably not even a discussion to be had with this post, just a cathartic expression on my part but basically, yeah - we have some right weirdos on here.
I don't get it.
Just... why?
It certainly is going to get better.
Just watched the new Suicide Squad trailer:
https://youtu.be/jiedtKegoqw
That's not the sort of movie to watch at home. Even with friends over.
And No matter how good your set up is.
It's one for having a few beers at a bar then off to the cinema to laugh and enjoy with your mates and a load of other randos.
Then have more beers after to go over it.
Preferably in the Cineworld bar.
And probably have a kebab.
August 6th.
Dya know what?
I think the sp is gonna fly tomorrow at 2.30 when the Americans wake up.
Hi Bistolover,
Just been browsing your post history.
It seems like you post negatively on every share by asking questions most investors would already know the answers to.
In fact, it would seem you are baiting for a response.
This is your first post here so I will counter your questions with my own.
1) Are you interested in investing here?
2) If no - why are you here?
3) If yes - Don't you think you should be doing a bit more research than asking randomers on the internet?
Can you put a case forward for you not to be classed as a troll / serial deramper?
I'm not sure, Robin.
But he definitely seems like the kind of chap that likes a bit of Tiffin every now and again.
Nothing to worry about there, Blue.
Even the BBC, the joint biggest doom merchants along with Sky, quote Boris saying this just 11 minutes ago:
"But more important than that, I'm going to be able to go down the street and cautiously, but irreversibly, I'm going to drink a pint of beer in the pub.
And as things stand, I can see absolutely nothing in the data to dissuade me from continuing along our roadmap to freedom, unlocking our economy and getting back to the life we love."
And aside from that, the UK is just 10% of Cine's estate.
Over on the other side of the pond, where we open up in less than a week and have 75% of our cinemas, they have smashed the 100 million vaccines in 100 days target and will continue to gather pace and ease restrictions in a snowball effect.
LA County goes into the Orange tier on Wednesday and almost half of all Californians are now vaccinated.
Even a gaff from Boris will not change what's happening stateside.
It's going to be a great summer.
Chill.
