Government borrowing up higher than expected. Retail sales fell off. Asian markets well down overnight. FTSE opening 0.9% (?) down. 94-95p possible soon after open?

Complete rubbish. Even if Taylor Wimpey got the land for free house prices would drop by about 16%.

I’ve the FTSE opening somewhere like - 1.3% (?) at the moment. Still a few more shares to buy to close the exercise (buyback) out, after 200k units yesterday.

I’ve been selling down recently, moving to cash, currently just under a whopping 72%. See how that pans out. Holding core financials, AV, PHNX, MNG, PRU, NWG plus Rio. I’ve had a great (calendar) year so some solace in safety?

I’m very confident in Aviva’s future and there is no way that should have dropped this morning. It’s all onwards and upwards there. And Amanda is the number one boss in the FTSE imo. £7 will soon be a distant memory, all in my opinion. Take a read of their results?… and, always do your own. Good luck mate

There is chat that there could be serious reform to this sector, with the stamp duty overall that could be less penalising to movers. Another time for that tho..

Absolutely. Exactly the same at PHNX. 5% drop on good results to £6.30, had 27p div, soon after, back to £6.90. Same here, FTSE allowing (but, Cant do nothing about that)..

Would have bought some back this morning although markets have responded positively, unsurprisingly. I’ll bide my time. Took some more Aviva instead. No call for a 5% drop there imo..

For sure. And Wimps are dicing with land. They ain’t buying for whatever reason. Been saying for over a year now. Plus, dividends are all well and good, but it’s not investing in the business. Great for excess but theres times to rein in! Anyway, well done PSN, and holders.

I’d say that looks about the best update so far.

300 extra homes than I anticipated back in August and £15m below the, then estimated profits of (£444m) actual £429m.

Should rise today, but who knows?

Things of most interest to me, and expect some figures on are: current total order book and units, short term land bank along with strategic pipeline figures, year end projected cash, expected units sold (ex JV), operating profits (excluding exceptionals) and of course, forward guidance

Morning, I’ve sold a lot down, but not these. The momentum, is here, at least for now. Holding stuff like Pru, Phnx, MnG & AV (UK stocks). They’re all holding up well, as I say, so far. It’s a tricky one, if we are left alone, could end up chasing. I still see value and upward momentum, FTSE allowing. There’s always a partial offload?

Is the FTSE opening up +0.8% ish today? Could be another good start to the day here? Teens anyone?…
