RE: SP Competition (Price At The End Of Friday)13 Feb 2021 09:30
Good morning Rizq,
You asked last night what my SP target was for next Friday.
Sadly, I am not a trader, so unless there is material news, daily, or weekly SP fluctuations are of no real concern to me.
I invest for the medium/long term and simply do not have the time to try and trade any share. Good luck to those that do (so long as they are open about it).
Realistically, though, with so many unknowns, and variables, how can you accurately value any AIM company without material figures to underpin any valuation?
What has materially changed in the past few weeks to change this from a company seemingly worth 40pps, to one worth 150pps, or more?
And I mean materially, as in something tangible that you can say is worth 'X''pps to the bottom line?
Indeed, what materially changed for this to drop from over 200pps in May to 100pps in August?
And why did the vaccine news cause a 50% drop here, why not 10% or 25%?
I can't answer any of these.
As I have said on several boards recently, hype, sentiment, expectation, potential, will ony take an SP so far (sometimes higher than is a true value in the short term), there always comes a time when firm results, sales, numbers, 'meat on the bones' is needed to give a fair valuation, push a SP to the higher levels.
Some may still see me as a deramper (32 posts here in 30 days), which is fair enough.
If you look back to my posts here in early/mid-Jan, I replied to several posters here who were fed up with the SP, lack of news, management, etc, and saying they were selling out tomorrow, or next week, or at the end of Jan, if there was no news.
I made several posts around that time to suggest that if they had waited this long for news, then why sell out with no news, when the HY figures were due in a few short weeks which would guarantee them some news and the ability to make an informed decision, rather than one on the preceived lack of anything concrete?
If anyone had listened to my suggestion then, their shares would be worth more than 3x what they were, just like mine are.
For the record, I stated at the time that I was waiting on news too, and would potentially sell half my holding based on what was released in the HY figures. I may still do, despite this recent rise, but only if I consider a better alternative to put any money into.
I am delighted at this rise, just not getting carried away with the wild speculation.
Again, many may disagree with my view, as is their want, but I feel that I am always open and transparent in my views, I always post to say whether I have bought, added, hold, or when I sell/take profit so that my position is clear.
I only post on boards I am invested in, or are researching with a view to investing in, and have never tried to talk a share down, or post on rival boards, like many do.
Again, the filter button is available if posters prefer not to read my views.
Stevek, Hopefully, I have spaced my paragraphs sufficiently for aesthetic purposes th
