RE: Finance Deal17 Feb 2021 22:47
The 90 day exclusivity period still has another 10 days or so to go. I believe it expires Saturday week, so for me, this would be a firm date I would expect they would have to RNS an update, if nothing before (presumably this would be on the following Monday).
As mentioned a few times, the 2-3 weeks additional timeframe was noted in the last RNS as an objective, so I am not sure what AIM regulations they could have broken by not releasing another update - that RNS was more a 'keep you in the loop' attempt to acknowledge the delay - a cynic would say it was issued only as a requirement due to the placing that was announced 2 days later - imo this was down to Aleph wanting more time when Angus thought it was done.
There is not much we, or anyone can do but wait, frustrating though it is.
The presentation, when it comes will be interesting to see how much detail they give on this issue, if any, as will be the subsequent investor call.
Submitted questions for this could be awkward for them, depending on what news is released on the funding, and how the market takes any update.
I feel that they will have lost a lot of goodwill from shareholders over this issue, which for me, despite the delays with progressing SF (understandable in the circumstances, finance aside), they have done a decent job of building up over the past 18 months or so.
Someone posted earlier today (I think), that this would easily hit 5p on funding news.
I have never thought this, and still don't. The rise could be quite muted now given the saga is dragging on. I still see a rise, but, for me, only firm production figures when SF starts producing will result in any significant move now.
It's sad that the SP was gathering some momentum, hitting the 1.40's before getting dragged back down in the manner that it did.
Hope to be proved wrong, but we will see in due course (eventually).
