I intended to hold firm after Brockham, but the news on SF last year (CPR, off-take agreement in particuar) gave me cause for optimism of delivery within the expected timeframes, so I added several times to reduce my 4.5p average down to 1.5p.
I still target a more modest 2p to 2.5p for SF, and see anything else before then as a bonus (although unlikely even now, imo).
I do still see a profit here, but will also cut loose if I feel necessary information/action is not kept on a tight schedule now.
I did this elsewhere in Jan taking a 90% loss after 2 years of failure to deliver, but with the comfort of gains made elsewhere to soften the blow.
It is time for my more poorly performing investments to start delivering though.

I would rather they get SF producing, and be able to say to investors 'look what we've done here. We've got cashflow, so show us some numbers for a new project which we can part fund from our regular income'.
Not too much to ask for some meaningful cashflow after all of this time to attract better funding and grow the company from a sounder financial footing?

I will cut back on posting here until news (I keep saying this), as I do not believe in running a company down all the time. Challenging particular aspects is ok, if reasons given, but not repeating the same thing ad infinitum.

SF should have been the sole focus for well over the past year now. They have indicated on several occasions that this is the case, but they seem now to be trying to do half a dozen different things at the same time.
All other existing assets should have been managed on the basis of handling required issues as and when, but not at the expense of delaying the main goal.

Every small AIM oiler seems to do this, move on to look at other projects before they crystallise the 'main one'.
Bring in the cash first before you start chasing other dreams.

The delays to Q4 2020 for first gas was acceptable to me, due to covid issues and getting organised.
Moving this target to Q1, and then Q2 in a fairly short timeframe was really disappointing.
The likelihood of Q3 now before we see anything at SF, is incrediby poor.

I have been very patient here, having sat through Brockham and deciding to hold for this project, but that is wearing thin now. I had hoped to exit here with a 50% loss at the end of last year, which I would have considered a big result after being circa 95% down at one point.
I almost broke even before the last disaster of a placing last month.

I feel I have been more balanced than many here over the past 18 months or so, and with a realistic SP target, but no more defending of the bod for me now.
I will continue to hold - this is my largest position by book value - but have now set myself a firm exit date regardless of performance over the coming months.

Release of HY results

SF is (was) supposed to be that 'company making' asset though, Gallifreyan.

Very disappointing timeframe for SF (yet again).
My initial, and I thought, realistic expectation was for for Q4 2020,and this has been pushed North at various points since.
Bod starting to lose trust and credibility over the funding and timing of projects now, imo, even accounting for covid impact.

As many have said, what is a few more months?
But, when the 'few more months' has become a few more, and then a few more, when will it stop?

As I have posted regularly before, I was intending to exit at the end of 2020 with first gas at SF (after holding tight since Brockham), based on the original (delayed timeframe).
Felt really positive throughout 2020 with the updates and progress reported, to the extent of several top-ups over the year to reduce my average and potentially looking to stay on board for the new project, and was even looking to top up further at anything under 1.00
No chance now on that plan. Will continue to hold as I still see a return here, but only interested in SF now, everything else is a sideshow.
I hope the bod are given a real grilling at the meeting.

Feel like I am turning into YorkshireLife at every new news update here. Hope he is well with him, wherever he is.

Only been here a short time myself, but I thought the ups/dows from the mid-teens to 30p in the last half of last year were normal for an AIM company at their 'current stage of growth' , so not surprised to see the same at the mid-80's to now after the recent news and spotlight on the sector in the run up to the new year.
No real difference here to stocks elsewhere in this sector and others in recent times, tbh with the SP moves.

Can see a very different outlook here at the end of 2021, lots of newsflow expected on multiple fronts. Exciting times, and ExtremeE wil provide a great distraction/good shop window depending on your view of this.
The increased exposure (albeit small for now) already seen for AFC with the 'Impact Correspondant' onboard the St Helena has added a bit of a buzz for investors here, and we aren't even out of UK waters yet!

It bagged from 40p to 160p on news that delivered the (huge) potential for imminent growth (considerable sales too).
And why I have been saying for weeks now that the drop back was inevitable without firm numbers to support this, and that it would take material news (sales, cashflow) on the BC collaboration to move this above £2 and beyond.

Just my opinion.

Others have been saying for weeks that a big seller is the reason for the drop. Not convinced, personally on this.
It seems like the usual 'rampers excuse' to me, something posted on virtually every board when the SP drops after a big rise (and especially after a reduction TR1). Note how the SP is always about to rocket when the seller is done in these situations.

Results due in just over 4 weeks which will put some 'meat on the bones' and allow the market to value GDR more accurately based on the factual data provided. Hopefully, an update on more recent sales/cashflow too given the news seen this year.
The speculation has been good, with the accompanying news to lift the SP this far.
Potential for more news in the meantime.
We will see a different picture here before Easter, imo

I wouldn't expect too much from LSE on this.
I seem to recall last year there was an ongoing problem with RNS not being shown on the site in many instances, and lots of posters being unaware that anything had even been released at times unless it was copied from other sources.
Several posters were informed by LSE that they had been trialling an updated version of their RNS notification tool which had proved to be 100% successful, and that the new version was going to be rolled out in July. I can't say I've noticed any real difference to the reliability, there are certainly occasional occurences of these being missing, or very late to pop up.
I think that it's a case of you get what you pay for on here, and other sites, which is certainly backed up by the performance of my own platform provider at times!

The TU will provide some certainty on the figures you suggested though, which is alwys good for the markets to know.
It will also give all the analysts something concrete to look over to give their opinions on progress since the last update, and allow brokers to write up new notes and update their forecasts (not that I hold much store by broker SP targets).

All is still potential and nothing more currently, despte the recent updates.
People have, mostly, grasped this and understand this for what it is, as does the market, imo.
Yes, the news is good on all fronts, but materially, nothing has really changed.
Only successful delivery will do now, and only then will the market really 'grasp the good news'.
Confirmation of funding, Baclcombe planning approval, new project, should all provide a lift, and all expected in the near term, but not bounce the SP up with a vengeance like confirmation of SF first gas and producing in line with anticipated figures will do.
The previous good momentum here was stopped in its' tracks by the placing, and funding delay.
Still seeing end Q2 for first gas and the material re-rate everyone anticipates (although this target may slip further, as it has done several times since Q4 was first mooted, sadly).

Hope to be proved wrong on the above, just taking a cautious approach

Good to see a busy board today, unsurprising with 3 sets of news on different fronts.
On the Funding update, I have to say that I feel similar to BigBear2 on this update (from the posters I can see).
Too many questions and too much uncertainty still for me on this, and the fact that many seem to have interpreted this RNS differently suggest that it is not that clear-cut.
WIll await further news releases that are expected over the coming days before passing firm judgement on the news today.

Per the 23/11 RNS:
"In preparation for clinical validation of the lateral flow test Avacta is working on both saliva and anterior nasal swab samples. Anterior nasal swabs sample the easily accessible parts of the nose and are therefore painless and straightforward to administer, unlike nasopharyngeal swabs which are generally regarded as painful and unpleasant. Avacta and its partners will continue to develop both sampling methods in parallel in order to bring high performance COVID-19 tests to market quickly to suit a range of use cases."

The most likely thing we will see on the news fron tomorrow (imo), is an 'in light of media speculation' type RNS, reiterating what was in the RNS from 16/02 (i.e. "On the basis of these excellent initial data, the Company will now progress to a full clinical validation with a larger number of patient samples to CE mark the test for professional use, aiming to bring the test to market in Europe around the end of the first quarter of this year").

They will add that they will update us more in due course, when appropriate, etc, etc.

Hope to be wrong, but without confirmation that validation is complete, and/or a firm contract with confirmed orders, aside from a scramble for some investors to get in on the weekend media hype, we will not see the rocket some are expecting (i.e. some have netioned £3 or even £5), but a decent rise, perhaps around the £2 to £2.20 mark.
Finishing above £2, and holding above there over this week would do for me just on this speculation.
Any additional news would be great.

Delays and other 'side shows' aside, what's not to be excited about thinking about the potential numbers here?
Of course there is still plenty of risk, that's why this is an AIM company. If you are not aware of the risks, and have invested more than you can afford to lose, then you should not be here.
I took a big hit elsewhere recently after years of disappointment. My choice. My decision to invest, and my decision to bail out.
There is still plenty of potential upside and positives here, imo that outweigh the downside, as things stand (I would perhaps think differently on this if the SP (mcap) was circa 100% higher though on the same news front).
DYOR, and good luck whatever your strategy here (unless you are trading it on the quiet whilst telling everyone you are buying/topping up and ramping it).

Why does the test need to be ready clinically by Monday?
The first stage has always been to get the schools back by 8th March, some 2 weeks away, and they are talking Easter, a further 4 weeks on before the possibility of any further easing of restrictions with pubs, etc not even mentioned for then.

Plenty of time for test to finish clinical trials, no?

I believe that planners removed their objections from a planning decision for ukog at Loxley (I think the EA had no objections too), yet the councillors still voted against granting permission for them.
There were months of delays and cancelled meetings just to get the first meeting back in June.
The initial meeting/vote was a farce and had to be re-run, but only in November due to more delays.
The result was the same.
UKOG are appealing, but how long could that all take - they do not expect a final decision until the end of 2021 !!

Not saying the same thing will happen here, but yes, certainly not counting any chickens here.

No suspension as an RNS can be issued prior to the open anyway. No one can take advantage of any news over weekend wit markets being closed.
What could happen as Rottnest stated, is an extention to the pre-market auction. I would not be surprised to see a delay in seeing price quotes on Monday and perhaps one, or more price monitoring extensions.

The LinkedIn account looks like it will be a more professional, ambassador type option for publicity, but I guess TikTok and Instagram will have a greater reach, albeit for a crowd that may be less inclined to invest, or be interested in the tech.
The number of followers seems low for now, so will be interesting to see how they grow over time.
Any publicity, direct, or indirect for this series, the aims for awareness, etc, and AFC will be good. Lookig forward to the tv coverage and any special behind the scenes look at the tech behind the series.
Some normality, and less sniping/drama on here would be good (I accept my part in some aspects of late).

As you will know, posters here do not always agree, posters may be either over-enthusiastic, or downbeat at times vs the realistic (objective?) situation, and some will be deliberatley disingenuous as to their reasons for being here (rampers/de-rampers).
It can be a minefiled at times, but some do provide good info and links to solid research.
Everyone goes against their instinct on a stock from time to time, so understandable to get carried away in the exuberance at times, so long as you remain aware of the risks in AIM shares (not that you will need telling from your role).
This looks close to the business end now, disregarding the other non-cioid streams to the business that are also being brought to fruition too.
The next 5 weeks, or so should be lively here, more highs to come, but some dips to be expected too

Personally, not had experience of a share that has undergone consolidation.
I have always advocated share buy-backs as a preferable option though, if the opportunity arises.
This, or a dividend would have been the preferred option from any WN sale proceeds, but perhaps the dividend is still on the table, if all comes good as this may still be a little way down the line?
