I do think it will be too good an opportunity for GDR to miss when it comed to their HY results (to 31/12).
They will certainly try to shoehorn an update on YTD sales into any update (imo) after today's news.
And why not!

I wonder if it will tempt ramper extraordinaire Saint-Tropez back to the board after his mysterious disappearance on the very day rhe vaccine news first broke and the SP slumped.

Maybe the RBD rise has something to do with their placing which they got away at a small premium to the closing SP last night?
It is interesting though, as they would have had to have been in discussions prior to this RNS release, so in reality, the placing price may well have been lower than the prevailing SP (or at least at par) at the time of the initial discussions.
A nice bit of spin for them, rather than stating it was at a discount (or par) to the previous 7 day average, perhaps?

Not strange at all.
Any trades are just that, trades.
They are not reported to the market as being buys, or sells, so sites like tis use algos to report the trade direction on a best efforts basis using the time of execution and the bid/ask.
It is quite common for the direction to be 'mis-reported', but these are shown as a guide pnly, and should not be taken as being true.

I guess that technically, they do not need to answer the Q's this month as they were submitted after their preferred cut-off date.
I suspect though, that they will be keen to respond to all of those though by the 31st as a sign that all is well, and on track, and to prevent any further negativity.
Communication will be very important for the bod over the coming weeks now, as I am sure many shareholders (not just PI's) will have felt let down by the timing of this news

I'm not sure it is worth speculating too much on the reasoning behind this.
It is done now. Disappointing, but we will know in 3 weeks or so on the funding, so can truly judge on the financial situation here on result of that, and any interviews given surrounding their reasoning when this was supposedly so close.
Sad that the decent momentum that had been building here has been halted though.
The placing price will most lkely have been on an average over 7 days or so leading up to the announcement, so timing it a few days later could have made a big difference.
It does suggest that Forest were still buying up until the time they were presumably contacted about the placing (as a TR1, they would surely have been informed and would have had to stop buying in the market, if made an insider).
The change in shares in issue will be telling for all the TR1's as to participation, or not.

That's how a market works.
Some buy, some sell, some hold.
Different people have different reasons for doing what they do, not everyone is the same.
Liquidity is needed in order for the SP to move, whether that is caused by news, sentiment, hype, general market forces, etc.

At the end of the day, it matters not what others are doing, if you have dyor and are following your own strategy.

Very disappointing to be out for a couple of hours and come back to this news.
Surrpised not to see too many green boxes with their gloating 'I told you so's.
A 20% drop from the intra-day high, just as it looked like we had moved up into a new trading range, and banished the sub-1.20's for good.
Explains even more the reasoning for the GM last year to permit the issue of new equity.
I hope GL comes out with an interview to explain the reasons for this, especially so soon after the Funding was supposedly just a case of signing off within the next 2-3 weeks prior to drawdown.
Poor timing, and a let down tbh.
I note there is no mention of whether this was oversubscribed - but at least we should see a TR1 to see what action Forest took in this, and can hopefully see where a lot of these shares went.

What a great few days it has been here with news smippets, the video and today's RNS.
Only a newbie here compared to many (ave 5.67), but over the moon with this progress.
Congrats to all holders, however long you have been invested and thanks for all the links, research and on-topic posts (unusual on here).
Still plenty to look forward to, and a still long hold for me.

To think that I only came across this share due to lockdown boredom giving me the chance to catch up on some reading and finding an article by chance which led me here and to the great info some of you provided.

I may have to eat some humble pie if this rise continues.
After the Monday funding update RNS, I replied to a couple of excitable posts to say that this would not reach 1.50 on the news, or even 2p by Friday, despite the additional TR1's hopefully consolidating the SP at a higher range.
WIll be more than happy to be proved wrong if this steady rise continues.

After a long wait, I'm now only 1% down here (at the 1.45 Mid) when at one point I was circa 95% down.

I think some posters are starting to cotton on to said poster in this regard.
As I have repeatedly said, some great rsearch on AFC and good links to other relevant research, but some of the 'facts' spouted on technical matters surrounding investment (yes, 500m mcap, shorts) are merely opinions based on what is most definitely some background understanding, but (imo) not a true working knowledge of said matters (I have my own view on this).
Just because someone has 'decades' of experience working in a particular field, it does not make them an expert in all things. I am well aware of my own knowledge limitations, and happy to be corrected when I have been incorrect.
I do not believe there is any intention to mislead with the posts made though

Don't forget the dilution since previous highs. so not a like for like comparison (even if your own average doesn't account for this).
Different company, different outlook, different focus (albeit some legacy assets remain which could be cash-generative), so difficult to compare, esecially given the many different ways to value any AIM company at this stage of development (non-income generation), and plenty of unknown variables.
My own personal target has always been more modest (circa 2p-2.5p), and I do feel this can go higher, but will remain cautious and ready to be pleasantly surprised at anything higher

It is still a UK listed security and ISA eligible as it is listed on a recognised exchange

We were not going to see the 2p today, or by Friday that some predicted ealier (and never were on the original RNS), but this TR1 for an increased holding should help to consolidate the move seen so far.
Will be happy for any incremental rises until the official funding news is released, the test will be whether this drops back to any extent in the meantime. A new trading range above 1.20 would do nicely

It's a bit lie saying you have to provide evidence of a current holding before you can comment on a particular BB, sadly not the purpose of these boards

EQT have a UK listing, so no change.
I can only trade UK listed stocks through my current provider too.

This RNS is really not a big deal, it is a technical change for settlement purposes only.
It does not affect trading, listing, currency, custody...
EU member states are not going to lose access to UK markets, just like the UK is not going to lose access to EU markets, both need each other and will not block access as there is too much mony at stake (and too much shared regulation to unravel)

It is all to do with settlement location.
It is still UK listed and trading in GBP, the company is just domiciled in Ireland, hence the need for tis change as a result of Brexit (as detailed in the RNS).
It is a technical issue, rather than a change to listing/currency
