I think they need a fanfare of sorts to accompany the launch.
It may just be the Euros factor, but seeing multiple ads over the past few weeks for new bank card apps, new credits cards with rewards, etc, so they need to get there 'uniqueness' out there to stand out amongst a growing crowd all looking to offer something new/different.
Everyone will have different requirements, not all will be direct competitors, and choice is good, but time to put the MODE name out there in a big way.

Nice to see a blue day after a couple of daily drops. Still below my lowest buy-in from yesterday though, if only I had waited a few hours yesterday to add!
News tomorrow or Friday either way will be good, hopefully with a double whammy of the US listing confirmation - it is now more than 9 weeks since the application was filed.

Feel that they will need to announce some more partners when confirming the launch though. Don't forget it will be end Q3 according to their RNS that THG group of companies are expected to be enabled on the App, so still a little way off for that.
Perhaps the launch will just include their own online merchandise store, per the RNS?

I can't comment on the spread question, but there is no bizarre MM behaviour going on with regard to buys/sells and how they are shown.
The direction of a trade is never reported to the market upon execution, it it reported as a 'trade' only.
Sites like this 'guesstimate' the direction from the prevailing bid/ask at the time of execution, so will sometimes be wrong. These are meant as a guide only, rather than factual reporting (the actual full details including the direction are only ever released T+1 to the regulator.
Larger trades should be easier to spot if there is an anomaly in the way (direction) they are reported, and it is only these, and the volume of trading that I tend to look at as an indicator personally (I don't have Level 2).

It is not something worth getting hooked up on, imo, and is certainly nothing to do with MM games, manipuliation, or aything else that many would like to think/suggest.
It all stems from a European Directive, ironically introduced to make trade reporting more transparent, and covers all EU markets in an effort to make them all uniform in the way that a multitude of rules and regs are handled.

Was it only Friday night that I speculated that we would not see sub-50p again?
Not just here though, seeing plenty of red elsewhere, so at least some comfort that the markets in general are having a tough day, but I thought with the pending launch it would perhaps be more stable in the face of some market volatility.

The drop was not really a surprise, tbh
Have seen it multiple times in similar stocks in the past (AIM O&G companies, Sirius, etc).

These stocks often see big gains on little more than hype/expectation in the early days (e.g. upgrade on what is in the ground), but lets not forget, we are still a long way from realising those discoveries and actually getting it out.

Until then, I'm sure we will see many 'false' rises to new (unsustainable) highs, and plenty of drops too, and I won't be at all surprised to see people getting spiked here over time and feeling 'locked in' having bought on hype and then seen the SP drop back for long periods, as is likely, imo.
Companies like this are so difficult to value accurately at the early stage, and nothing is a given here, still a lot of work to do.
Costs will far outweigh income for a good while, which means funding and likely dilution, but the opportunity is there if you weigh up the risk/reward, are prepeared to have patience and time any entry right (easier said than done!).

I fully expect this to be a bit of a wild ride, so will be holding tight, and having learnt from the past will not be getting greedy.
A long term hold for me, but I will look to take some profits along the way if I see a good opportunity to do so.

As an aside, I liked the fact that the Barrister talking about speculative investors in cryptocurrency was called Peter Doge(coin) :-)

I know it's only the DailyMail, and hardly a positive article for Crypto, focusing on many who have borrowed to invest, but it was the numbers that caught my eye.

Some 2.3m Brits now hold cryptocurrency assets. An estimated 2/3 in Bitcoin. Median investment £300.
Some other interesting stats in the article too.
Also, 46m Americans hold Bitcoin!

Why do posters keep talking about a closed period, there is no closed perioed currently.
The Final results were released in March, and the Half-year results will be released in September.
There is only ever a closed period for the 30 days prior to the release of each, no other time.

Not sure if this is significant, but important groundwork to prepare for compatibility/accessibility in other markets for future expansion and growth?

So many different platforms and providers that business use, I guess this is them getting ahead of thier rollout plans to ensure no 'glitches', and allow plenty of testing to ensure the different platforms will all 'talk' to the MODE platform. This will mean a lot of the heavy lifting is undertaken now and will allow smaller 'patch' type rollouts for future upgrades to these other systems.

This is my take on this, but interested to see what others think

Let's hope so, Pareusiknives, although I have been reading for almost a year now that 'Monday will see the big RNS land'.
News can, and will drop anytime, but not seeing the multi-bagger on large sales orders now, I feel it will perhaps head back to the high 200's on good news.
Happy to be proved wrong, just my hunch, and trying to be realistic given previous moves seen over recent months.

I have to agree with Nate on the recent rise.
The RR connection is fantastic news, but realistically, how long will it be before anything goes into production there, it will likely be years of testing with this new composite, surely?
A long term reason to hold, but not cash-generative in the short term, for me.
More interested in the here and now aspects, which are also very good given what we have seen so far, and what is expected to.
The management are excellent, communicate regularly (and deliver themselves well), and most importantly, are delivering, but this recent rise was also overdone., imo

I am not going to predict where it may drop to, as it's immaterial to me. The fundamentals are good enough for any drop not to be a concern. I sold a chunk for a good profit, and intend to hold the remainder.
I have no intention of buying back in at any lower level, as happy with my reduced holding, and the average price held.
Happy to sit tight here now and wait for news, of which there will be plenty.
Different folk have different strategies. Do whatever works for you.
Hopefully this board will remain respectful, and fairly low-key for a good while longer yet

My 'look and see' target is also around the 50p level in the short term.
I believe this is around the diluted equivalent (pre-consolidation) that this reached before the prior 2 placings (higher SP level before the first, lower SP level before the 2nd), which seemed good value at the time based on expectations from each asset.
Dilution from these placings means 50p could well be a higher mcap than those previous levels (not done the maths),
Any action I take around this SP will depend on what news takes us to this level, how quickly it gets there (steady rise, or big jump), and what news is expected next, and when.
Again, depending on what news takes this to the 50p level, this is where I see profit taking, rather than the higher target mentioned (90p).

I took some profits too, circa 40% of my position at a +50% gain.
I feel that there will dip back at some point.
Happy to reinvest elsewhere and also happy to hold with my reduced position for the longer term.

I seem to post this several times a week across different boards!

Trades are never reported to the market as a buy or sell at the point of execution.
They are reported as a trade. Nothing else.
The direction is never reported on execution and it has never been a requirement to do so under MiFID II - an EU directive that determines, amongst many other things, the information reported upon execution. It has been in place for several years now, and is not quick or simple to fix either, as many seem to think, and unlikely to be changed any time soon in any case.

It is sites like this that 'interpret' the reported data vs bid/ask at the time to present the direction of any trade on a best efforts basis vs the prevailing bid/ask.
It is meant as a guide only, not gospel, and the big players will all be aware of large trades via their dealers/MM's in any case.

Yes, it is frustrating to see trades clearly being 'misrepresented' seemingly on a regular basis, but an indication is better than nothing, and for me, it is the volume that is more important, along with any sizeable trades that will impact the SP more.

Good to get confirmation of the news tweeted over the weekend, but this was never going to get to £1 on this news though.

Yes, a big connection to have onboard with 30+ brands, but without multiple sign-ups, this is effectively a THG loyalty card.
The mcap of THG is irrelevant too, imo, more relevant would be 'footfall' to their sites, average spend,etc.

Looking forward to this being the first of many announced sign-ups.
The muted SP response may be more to do wth this tie-up only expected to be enabled across THG's brands from the end of Q3, so still circa 3 months away from any real benefit.

Volume today continues to be good, following on from Friday's increased activity, so hopefull theSP will hold around the current level if the afternoon continues the same way.

As an aside, I noticed yesterday that Alipay are one of UEFA's main sponsors, and official global payments partner at the Euros (and beyond) and were featuring in ads at each of the breaks on the ITV coverage.
