Call me stupid, but maybe, just maybe, the drop is something to do with the market capitulation seen everywhere, and nothing to do with ANGS in isolation.
Every single UK index is down, main European markets down, U.S. markets down, Hong Kong was down. Ok small rise in Tokyo, but still.
A clear worldwide battering of the markets.
Folk pulling their cash out to safe havens, and small caps will suffer more than main market shares.
Yes, some will buck the trend, but not anything to do with ANGS, per se, imo.

Mirasol has never had anything positive to say about any small cap oiler for well over 4 years that I have been on these boards, unless it is a backhanded compliment with some negative slant thrown in for good measure.
That covers UKOG, ANGS and UJO for the whole period.

I see he also posts om Egdon, Rockhopper and Hurricane, no doubt just as 'objective' there.

Difficult to make predictions, imo.
No one really knows hoe long it will take for due diligence, etc for any potential offers to come form the 'possible 6', especially with the Takeover Code dispensation given (per the 06/01 RNS).
Any offers could come at any time.

Looking to see signs of progress with activity, and no further slippage with the delays already outlined (same RNS).

A detailed week by week construction and commissioning timetable will be issued during the course of January 2022, also per the same RNS. History suggests that this will come at the very last minute, so it would be good if they showed some proper professionalism for a change and issued this early next week - no IQ's currently, so no real excuse for updates to be delayed

It's the same on pretty much every small cap board that I look in on currently.
Posters look at the SP only, and use the unrealistic, and unsustainable highs seen in this sector, and elsewhere as their only comparison tool.
No realism, or rationality seen, although I do get the frustration with the drops, especially when investors are underwater.
It's quite tiresome to read day after day though, hence I rarely post on these boards.
I appreciate the commentary from, what is a minority of informed posters on these boards.
I will continue to hold here as it has always been a long term play, for me. Will be looking to add in due course too, when funds permit, and will await news.

Would hardly rate an 8.3 disclosure as 'a quality RNS' and these can drop any time, and daily too under the current situation, as seen.

No prediction for the Aleph disclosure though, or maybe this is the one expected, and an insider there?

And yet, we are still some 140% off the 1 year high, which in itself is some 30% lower than pre-consolidation highs (before the 2 years of repeated placing leaks).
Progress, yes, and good to see some good news, but a very long way to go for many here caught out by the shenanigans and delays.

I am still staggered that any investor with an ounce of a clue, seriously believes that the 80p plus highs were remotely sustainable, let alone a true reflection of AFC's real value compared to the SP of the teens and 20's just a few weeks earlier.
Still, it is a convenient stick to beat the company with when you have an agenda, or not able to take responsibility for your investment decisions.

Don't get me wrong, not happy with the drop to these levels, but it is clearly a sector thing, as much as it is a lack of sales thing, or an AB trust thing.
Even a blockbuster RNS will have limited upward impact in the current economic climate.
So many AIM shares go through their 'hype' phase and rise exponentially on sentiment alone, then fall back and take a very long time to recover to those highs as the markets then look for delivery, often diluting on the way which prolongs the recovery.
Good news, cash generation is what will buck the trend, along with the sector coming back into focus.
Still a trading stock at present, imo, although not something for me.

All was well with this board, pretty much, until the Brockham debacle.
Then, all the diehards who were predicting multi-bags and encouraging posters to buy, buy, buy, threw their toys out of the pram and set up a vigilante group to take legal action against the company.
It wasn't a success.
GL took over, and despite a fresh start, and in a new direction, the vitriol and personal attacks on the bod continued from a hardcore group of individuals who played off of each other, tag-teaming while pretending not to know each other.
Old avatars were replaced with new ones, but some have been here, and as you will know, on UKOG, UJO, etc for years spouting the same negative stuff day after day.
It is relentless, tiring, and boring.
Not saying any of these companies do not have issues, mostly the negatives have outweighed the positives for much of the time, despite the potential, it is the time horizons, leaks, etc that frustrate many rational investors.
Not averse to hearing both sides, if cogent arguments are put forward, but the majority on these boards just repeat the same spiel day after day, only changing their view to another subject when challenged and proved to be false on one line of 'reasoning'.
Zero objectivity.

It is very easily for a large seller to conduct a large trade, either via an adv trade transacted throughout the day, and reported as the final 'fill' when the daily amount is complete, or in several large chunks over several days.
Volume has been sufficient these last few days to do this.

As for why is a large holder selling, perhaps they are just taking the opportunity to de-risk, or simply do not want to swap shares in ANGS for that of another company, preferring an all cash deal if there is to be a takeover?
I certainly will not be taking new shares in a company like Sound, if this is the best that is on offer

Why do you automatically assume that they know more than the average pi, just because they are a holder of more than 1% who has sold some of their shares?
Another disingenuous use of the term 'insider', much like the recent article from one of those rag share subscription articles.

Calling posters 'shorters' is endemic on these boards.
It is just a lazy insult aimed to anyone who dares voice anything negative by the diehards who always resort to this kind of abuse to try and discredit any other posters' differing view.

Could be many investors casting their nets for any other potential takeover targets.
Not inconceivable surely, and the rise cannot be attributed just to the RNS on Monday which does little for the short term benefit outlook here (the constant obsession to the price of oil is irrelevant, imo for the SP fluctuations).
Not complaining at the rise, just not convinced it is all related to UJO and what they are doing

Apparently, you cannot invest here unless you have an EV, otherwise you are a hypocrite.

I am happy to be a hypocrite with my 11 year old diesel car (bought specifically for my personal requirements and for a 10 year timeframe), investing in banks I do not use, a supermarket that has no store near me, O&G and green tech (!!), funds that invest in Asia and America where I do not live, etc.

I put Haggis straight to filter when he spent weeks banging on about the SP being held at a 500m mcap, as apparently, ALL funds can only invest at this level, despite many proving daily that his view was incorrect. He even went so far as to provide his own definitive evidence to prove himself wrong whilst claiming it was saying the opposite.
Abuse to anyone who disagrees with him is standard, as is refusing to admit ever being wrong about anything.

This board has been so much better for me with use of the filter button, not that I comment much anymore due to the daily bs from many.

I see the bod has now announced their own positions here, as well as any options, together with WH Ireland warrants.
Took them long enough (although within the required timeline), no doubt bogged down by all those potential offers

I have been looking at 2p to 2.5p for SFB since it was announced almost 3 years ago.
Certainly won't complain at any higher price, just more conservative than most.

Good that the SP is getting up to the high of 26 Jan last year when good progress was being made before it was torpedoed by the bod with the funding debacle (or the highs seen in March 2020 with the original CPR announcement.
Lots of false dawns just with SFB here, so not getting carried away

There is often a discrepancy between what Angus says, and what happens though, especially with regard to timescales (and costs)!

GL may have valued SFB at 4p per share when producing, but we are not there yet.
I still see any offer below that level as any buyer will be taking on the risk of getting SFB up and running until such time as SFB is on-line, unless the offer is conditional on completion.
