I believe that there are Telegram boards for the disciples, where only positive views are allowed, and any dissenters get kicked out.
Doesn't sound very healthy, or useful for those investors with an open mind who consider both the positive and negative to help inform their decisions.
Meanwhile, many will just filter out the noise and extreme views posted on both sides

I don't agree with the postings of a lot of posters on these boards, and many are tiresome to read, hence my use of the filter button, but gloating and mocking the investment decisions and potential losses others may have incurred shows you are no better.
I don't wish any investor to lose any money, regardless of their views here, or elsewhere.
No one wins all the time and investing is not as easy as many like to make out, as can be clearly seen by the day to day musings seen on here

For me, there is no relentless selling, just like there is no relentless buying.
The daily volumes barely get over 1% of shares in issues, Friday despite higher than normal was not even 2.5% of shares in issue.
Yes, volumes are up from the start of October to date, compare to the weeks before then, judging by the 3m figures, but there has only been two 'decent' days of trading volume in the last 6 months (circa 15m on May 20, and circa 17m last Friday), and not that many more this calendar year.
I wouldn't even be that excited about those either, tbh
You have to go back to 23 Nov last year to see the last really good day of volume here (circa 80m).
Difficult to suggest anything is 'relentless' from the trading figures seen here, regardless of reported direction.

I could be wrong, but I think the short has been open for longer, and changes regularly.
Looking at the attached site, it seems the short positions are reported every 2 weeks, and they show any change in that period.
The latest report (Consolidated Short Position Report) was at 15/11, and shows the change from the 31/10 position of 57,622 shares to the current 2,441,869, so the big increase has been sometime in the period from 01/11 to 15/11.
The various other reports do show open positions too at varying levels.

If all that happens, it is very unlikely we would see a drop in the SP at all, let alone a near 25% SP drop to 40p

How many times do posters need to be told that comparing SP levels at different points in time for companies like this is pointless?
There are so many factors that affect SP, most out of a company's control.
The high was based on nothing more than sector hype, just look at the charts for similar companies, even for that 3 month period from the beginning of November 2020 to the end of Jan 2021, compared to the period since.
The company is in infinitely better shape now than 1 year ago, and the SP was sub-30p then

I would love someone to post clearly and concisely just exactly how AFC with a SP in the 90's was remotely justified at that time based on available facts and figures.
For that matter, can anyone seriously provide facts and figures to justify the current SP/MCAP, or a SP in the 30's, 40's, 60's, etc based on what information is available?

I see potential and growth, so will continue to hold, and as posted many times before, will judge AB and company performance at year end, not before, unless I am given good reason to to reconsider. No SP/MCAP target in mind, but I fully expect plenty of rises and drops along the way as this is how markets work.

I can't believe this is 100% up in the last year.
Shocking performance form AB and team.
What are they playing at generating such shareholder value on barely any news and little to no sales.
I will only hold my shares for another 2-5 years unless this situation changes. And quickly!

It is just convenient to label anyone with a negative view as a deramper, swampy, protestor, shorter, Greta lover, etc, just as anyone with a positive view is a paid ramper, or company stooge.

Just the way it is, it is seen as impossible to be positive about a company, the potential of its assets and their prospects, but have a negative opinion about some aspects (e.g. comms, leaks, management action, etc). It just does not compute for the many, it seems

Both sides look to create division and use generalisations to discredit other posters to push their own view.
Facts are stretched to the 'nth degree, or distorted to suit and any communication gets pored over for some way to spin what is said one way or the other.
Only to be expected where money concerned.
Still disappointed in progress as a whole over the last 2 years, versus expectations, but continuing to hold (circa 60% down here now).
I know which posters to trust here (not many), have the most vocal on filter, and will trust my own judgement - my investment decision, my responsibility, no one to blame but myself if things do not change for the better here

That's not how markets work though.
Too simplistic a view, but the prevailing thought of many, it seems.
There are so many factors that determine how an SP may move, any many are outside a company's control (exchange rates, global economy, sector being in or out of favour, competitor news, etc).
Just because a share hit 'X' price on seemingly 'no news' it does not mean it will go higher on actual news.
It's not too hard to understand this really. Markets are not rational. Neither are investors.

Yes, a good and positive update.
Sadly, I sold here as in the throws of a house sale and needed funds from outside my ISA to cover expenses for the next few months, but a decent gain in a short space of time.
I will definitely be buying back in here using my available ISA allowance upon completion though as I see plenty of scope for growth, and the sky is not the limit here!

The next couple of months have always been expected to be active ones, no change on that.
I am expecting regular updates (not necessarily by RNS) as milestones are hit, together with their promised detailed plan due in the next week or so.
Let's not forget though that we are now at that time of the year when the 'notorious' weather in the SFB area could make groundworks/progress a challenge. I sincerely hope that we do not see stories of flooding, etc hampering progress, and that any (new) schedule released runs smoothly

Folks will conveniently overlook that point (affiliate program) and suggest it was somehow our intentional misleading of the market with the announcement, but not the case.
I would guess that the global affiliate marketing network, Awin will have a lot of questions to answer on this.
Still not a good outcome, given the big names mentioned have all distanced themselves so quickly, but there are still some names on board, although clearly less attractive and less well-known as not mentioned by name.

A PR disaster though, and the announcement has not been handed well at all, and the market has reacted accordingly.

Sadly, I feel this may sit in the doldrums for a while now, sub-40's, as trust will have gone for many and it will take time to rebuild.
No matter how good the company, or the product/service, sentiment plays a big role, and this episode will not be forgotten soon

Laying some solid foundations in 2021 for potential exponential growth in 2022 and beyond if all comes together.
For me, with the continued addition of new merchants, the push into Europe should be the next big focus (followed by the US, Asia and perhaps adding Ethereum).

Things like football sponsorship, as mentioned, may be a bit soon, but some prominent advertising at major sporting events would be welcome. Alipay seem regular advertisers at England games now, but the worldwide reach of premiership football, and upcoming events like the Winter Olympics, 2022 Football World Cup, 2022 Ryder Cup, 2023 Rugby World Cup, etc will certainly raise the profile from an advertising perspective.
With Amazon ditching Visa, having 'made contact' as noted in another post is great, and would be a major coup here.

Disappointing that this great SP rise is coming from a lower than hoped for starting point, just as it was disappointing not to have the funds to add at those levels, but that's the beauty (and frustration) of investing!

That would have set a few people off on here :-)

Regardless of whether you have heard of Pompliano, or not - I haven't tbh, but don't consider myself to be a 'hardcore crypto-guy' (I will now do some further research) - you can't deny the impact this RNS has had on the SP today.
Not complaining, personally, as it seems the markets like this news.

Maybe they are fully funded as things stand, but I have lost count of the number of times a company has RNS'd that they are fully funded, and then raise for some new opportunity, push into another sphere, or some other reason.
I think it is pretty much guaranteed that we will see a fund raise before the end of 2022. Not an attempt at a de-ramp, but things change, opportunities arise as businesses grow and develop.
I hope we get to the stage where cashflow allows for alternative, and more shareholder friendly sources of funding, but placings and their resulting dilution are just a fact of life with developing small cap companies.
